Giants add WR Sterling Shepard in round 2.

If Giants fans were unfairly upset about the first round selection of CB Eli Apple, they were able to turn the frowns upside down as The Giants selected wide receiver Sterling Shepard with the 40th pick in the second round.

Shepard is looking forward to stepping on the field with both Victor Cruz and Odell Beckham.

“There are guys I definitely look up to and pattern my game after,” Shepard said. “Two of them are on the New York Giants in Victor Cruz and Odell Beckham. I look up to those guys and love watching their game. … I’m happy and landed in a perfect spot.”

It’s hard not to love this pick, Shepherd is a highlight waiting to happen and should pair well with Beckham and a healthy Cruz. Let’s welcome Sterling Shepard to Big Blue!
