I bought in when they first hired him, even though I was underwhelmed.

I’m glad ownership has taken the first step in building a winning culture. They trusted their GM Joe Schoen to bring in his guy. A guy who developed Josh Allen from a Wyoming qb who completed 58% of his passes as a rookie, to an MVP candidate who can go toe-to-toe with Mahomes. He and Joe Schoen will rebuild the OL and bring the offense into the 21st century.

Dare I feel…optimism???

Welcome Coach Daboll! #togetherblue

Mailing list and updates.

Thank you for the visit, if you would like to help this blog grow please join our mailing list.

The post I bought into Joe Judge first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

 <post-id xmlns="com-wordpress:feed-additions:1">14851</post-id>

New Year, Same Old Giants

Justin Van Wyen

New York Giants Game Recap

New York Giants News

Daniel Jones

Headline

Jason Garrett

Joe Judge

Kenny Golladay

Patrick Graham

Sterling Shepard

New Year, Same Old Giants. While I’m disappointed, I can hardly say I’m surprised.

The Good:

Despite only scoring 13 points, The Giants’ passing game was a strong point. Daniel Jones threw for 267 yards, and a touchdown to Sterling Shepard (who looked great in his new #3 jersey). Shepard had the best day among New York’s wideouts, securing seven catches for 113 yards, and proving to be Jones’ safety blanket. Free agent acquisition Kenny Golladay showed flashes of why the Giants paid so handsomely for him in the offseason. #19 had four catches for 64 yards, displaying outstanding hands, and the ability to make catches in traffic. Darius Slayton rounded out the trio, flashing on a 42-yard reception down the sideline early in the first quarter. Daniel Jones threw no interceptions, and was only sacked twice on 37 drop backs. I’d like to see more efficiency in the redzone, butconsidering where the offense was earlier in the preseason, I’m encouraged.

Grade: B

The Bad:

The Giants defense was horrifically bad. Patrick Graham has work to do Last years accolades mean nothing now. You’ve got to earn it every year. The Giants defenses of the past are ashamed tonight. This defense showed no bite. Teddy Bridgewater connected on 87% of his passes in the first half, as Denver led 10-7 at the break. The score would have been much worse, had Logan Ryan not forced and recovered a fumble on the Giants two-yard line as Denver was marching in to score. The weakness of the defense was on full display in the final two minutes of the first half, as the Broncos completed a fourth and two near midfield, that catapulted them to a last second score before the break. Denver followed it up with a drive that took up the entire first half of the third quarter. Bridgewater was mobile, and toyed with the man-to-man coverage Patrick Graham used to generate pressure. Bridgewater continually extended plays, and converted on long third and fourth downs. By the midway point of the third the Giants trailed in time-of-possession 28 minutes to 11, and the Broncos were 3-3 on 4thdown. We expect more from you Patrick Graham.

Grade: D+

The Ugly:

Head Coach Joe Judge. The most glaring mistake is obvious, throwing a challenge flag on Denver’s touchdown to start the third quarter. Scoring plays are unchallengable, and the Giants, now down 17-7 lost a valuable timeout that could be used in a comeback attempt. It’s your responsibility to manage the game, coach. Do better.

Judge’s issues go beyond game management. This loss was embarrassing, as The Giants looked undisciplined, and unready to play. The Giants do a lot of talking about playing better, but their issues remain the same.

The Giants pass rush is ineffective. If you don’t capitalize on blitzes, you get burned. The Giants remain impotent in the redzone, going a measly 1-3; the one, a meaningless touchdown as time expired to give the Giants 13 points. The Giants defense was undisciplined, registering three personal foul penalties, (looking at you Holmes, Ojulari, and Martinez).

Daniel Jones continues to have ball security issues, fumbling on a key drive in the third quarter. And the special teams unit Judge champions missed a key opportunity to pin the Broncos at their own two on a punt, resulting in a touchback.

These issues are the same things that plague us year after year. There is little to no discernable improvement. That’s on the Head Coach. That’s on Joe Judge.

Coach Judge says all the right things, but the time for talk is long gone. It’s time for results Coach, and the buck stops with you. Don’t disappoint us.

Grade: D-

Thank you for the visit, if you would like to help this blog grow please join our mailing list.

The post New Year, Same Old Giants first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

 <post-id xmlns="com-wordpress:feed-additions:1">14174</post-id>

The New York Giants Sign Plaxico Burress

Justin Van Wyen

New York Giants Throw Back Thursday

Eli Manning

Headline

Plaxico Burress

Do you remember where you were sixteen years ago? March 17th 2005,…

The post The New York Giants Sign Plaxico Burress first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

Do you remember where you were sixteen years ago? March 17th 2005, to be exact. I can tell you exactly where I was. My senior year in college at Millersville University, smack dab in the middle of my spring semester, tied to my laptop, scouring internet message boards for updates on the Giants pursuit of a free agent wide receiver.

Sixteen years later, I’m working from home. My wife is pregnant. My son will be here before the start of the season. My phone set to send me alerts whenever Twitter has an update about the Giants pursuit of a free agent wide receiver. The lesson, you ask? As much as life changes, it stays the same…

Eli Manning was entering his second season. He had taken over for Kurt Warner just after the midway point of his rookie campaign. Despite stumbling to a 1-6 record, he had beaten the hated Cowboys in his final game of the season and there was optimism around Peyton’s kid brother. The Giants were committed to getting him top-notch help. To paraphrase Bill Parcells, you can’t make a gourmet meal without solid ingredients.

Plaxico Burress was 6’6” A lean 232 pounds, he ran like a gazelle. He had played college ball in The Big 10 at Michigan State. Draft with the 8th overall selection by the Steelers four years earlier, it stands to reason the Giants had inside intel. After all, the Rooneys and the Maras are connected by marriage. No doubt, Burress looked the part. Many around the league believed Burress could make the leap; to bonafide, unquestioned number one wide receiver. The Giants saw the potential for a duo that would come of age together.

Still, Burress only had 22 career touchdowns across five seasons, and was coming off an injury-marred 2004 season, that saw the veteran play only eleven games.

Burress had just hired a new agent, after failing to secure a deal in the first week of free agency. Rumor had it that Plax was asking for more money than the Giants wanted to give, and refusing a physical. Enter Drew Rosenhaus. A week prior, the Giants had publicly stated they were moving on. Their offer was back on the table now. Six years, $25 million (making him one of the highest paid receivers of the day), contingent on that physical Burress had refused.

Burress arrived at The Meadowlands on a Thursday morning. Passed the physical and signed the deal. He had a good run with the Giants. Eli had his elite talent on the outside. The chemistry was immediate. The duo connected for 33 touchdowns across 4 seasons, terrorizing the NFC East along the way. Burress played the single greatest game I’ve seen a wide receiver play in sub zero temperatures at Lambeau Field in the 2007 NFC Championship.

Super Bowl XLII. “Burress… Alone, TOUCHDOWN, NEW YORK!!! 19-1

The Giants were 10-1 the following year, arguably the best team in the league, when Burress shot himself in the leg. What could have been.

Sixteen years later Giants fans anxiously await news on the signing of free agent wide receiver, Kenny Golladay. He’s 6,4” 214 pounds. Big Blue hopes he can be to Daniel Jones what Plax was to the G.O.A.T. A weapon that enables Jones to reach his potential.

He played in the Big 10 (Rutgers) and has 22 touchdowns in his four-year career. The Giants have inside info on Golladay. Joe Judge and Matt Patricia are old pals dating back to their Patriots days. Kyle O’Brien was part of the brain trust that drafted Golladay for the Lions in 2017. The Giants hired him this offseason. Due to COVID, in person visits are rare prior to signing contracts these days. The Giants want an in-person old-style visit, prior to an extending offer in hopes of easing concerns over a balky hip that cost Golladay all but five games in Detroit last year.

Sound familiar?

The Giants need Golladay, just like they needed Plaxico sixteen years ago.

The more things change, the more they stay the same…

At least I hope so.

The post The New York Giants Sign Plaxico Burress first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

 <post-id xmlns="com-wordpress:feed-additions:1">13574</post-id>

Technology Worries for the NFL Draft

Justin Van Wyen

NFL News

Covid

Dave Gettleman

Headline

NFL 2020 Draft

NFL Draft

Technology Worries for The NFL Draft are mounting. The NFL is currently busy setting up safeguards to avoid tech issues in their attempt to hold a virtual draft, during the Covid pandemic.

The NFL has made professional football a year-round experience for it’s fanbase. The season begins in August and lasts through The Super Bowl in February. The end of February brings the NFL Combine, giving front offices around the league an opportunity to evaluate potential draftees for April’s NFL Draft.

The NFL Draft is an extravaganza of sorts, a three-day celebration that typically brings thousands of fans to an NFL city where multiple national television networks broadcast the 7 rounds of the NFL’s Collegiate Player Selection Meeting to millions of NFL fans glued to their televisions at home. Hope springs eternal, as the draft marks the beginning of the next NFL season that may result in the hoisting of The Lombardi Trophy.

2020’s NFL Draft feels different. COVID-19 has canceled Organized Team Activities, closed NFL facilities, delayed physicals associated with free agency, and brought the NFL Draft into question. We’re not certain what the 2020 NFL season will look like, much less the draft. While it will almost certainly occur between Thursday, April 23 and Saturday, April 25th(shoutout to my parents, who will be celebrating their 39thwedding anniversary) the aforementioned extravaganza will have a much different feel to it.

Changing The Draft Plan.

Live festivities in Las Vegas have been scrapped. Draft prospects who would have been in the live green room waiting to hear their name called will teleconference from their homes to share their live draft reaction. The only person hugging Roger Goodell? His wife, if he gets lucky, post draft.

Since NFL facilities have been closed, teams will each have their own teleconference with owners, General Managers, coaches, and scouts calling in from their homes. Once a pick is made, it will be shared via a separate teleconference with the league. The league will publicize picks to media outlets that still intend on televising results.

Teams are consumed by fear. Fear that they will make mistakes in this draft. Pro days have been non-existent. Live interviews with potential draftees have not occurred since the NFL Combine. All scouting post combine has occurred by watching game film. A few teams have expressed concern that other teams may be able to infiltrate their conference calls and steal their draft picks. (New England Patriots, anyone? Belichick…Belichick???) Teams’ IT Departments have expressed concern about going to personnel’s homes to set up their teleconference technology amidst Coronavirus concerns. What this draft will be as a result? No one is sure. With that said, the NFL fans are ravenous for this draft because Coronavirus has eliminated all sports. We yearn for sports content in a way we haven’t in generations.

For The New York Giants.

We all wish that the live, three-day, Las Vegas extravaganza was still on the schedule. Regardless, the intrigue will still be there. For our New York Giants questions are plentiful. Will we infuse our defense with elite talent in the form of Isaiah Simmons, Jeff Okudah, or Chase Young? Will we invest in Daniel Jones and draft his blindside protector in Jedrick Wills, Tristan Wirfs, Mekhi Becton, or Andrew Thomas?

Will The Giants trade back in the first round, landing more picks to fill a roster in need of a talent upgrade? Will Yannick Ngakoue successfully force his way out of Jacksonville to his preferred destination with the New York Football Giants? All these questions, and many more will be answered in less than two short weeks via a draft format no one is certain of. Despite the fear of the unknown, there’s a strange irony wrapped in comfort that comes when you realize that the NFL will be drafting actual players the same way we all draft our fantasy football teams each year. Let’s be here for it, be grateful for it, and pray ESPN.com’s draft servers don’t go down.

The post Technology Worries for the NFL Draft first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

 <post-id xmlns="com-wordpress:feed-additions:1">12111</post-id>

Covid-19 Impacts Giants and Daniel Jones

Justin Van Wyen

New York Giants News

Daniel Jones

Headline

Jason Garrett

Joe Judge

Covid-19 Impacts Giants and Daniel Jones.Giants hired Joe Judge as their head…

The post Covid-19 Impacts Giants and Daniel Jones first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

Covid-19 Impacts Giants and Daniel Jones.
Giants hired Joe Judge as their head football coach, they cast their eyes to Monday, April 6, 2020. This is the day that NFL teams with new head coaches can begin their first offseason camp, a full two weeks ahead of teams with returning head coaches.

The thought process behind this is simple. New head coaches are given the extra two weeks, along with an extra three-day minicamp featuring padded practices, to implement their schemes and playbooks, develop rapport with players, and build team chemistry.

As April 6, 2020 approaches, Covid-19 has impacted our country in ways that remain difficult to comprehend. As our nations focuses on how to reduce the spread of this horrific disease, sports have been forced to pivot from live events, practices and games, to quarantine measures, isolation methods, and virtual meetings. Justifiably so, we’re sacrificing sports in an effort to flatten the curve.

The NFL doesn’t play games that count until September, but in an ideal world, Joe Judge would be gearing up for his first camp, a camp that would introduce Daniel Jones to his new coach, and his vision for restoring Giants pride. This time is essential for any quarterback, but it’s monumental for a first round QB entering his second season, learning a second offensive system in as many offseasons.

The Giants have faith in Daniel Jones. They believe his talent made the 6th overall pick a worthwhile investment. Any team who selects a quarterback in the top half of the first round does so because they believe that player has the ability to master an NFL offense quickly, efficiently, and thoroughly. 2020 will test that hypothesis in a way that the modern NFL has yet to experience.

Last year speaks for itself. DJ started 12 games in 2019. Despite winning only three, he threw for 3,027 yards, and lead his rookie class with 24 passing TDs. A riveting second half comeback in Tampa Bay, including the game-winning QB draw, and 5 TDS in an OT victory over the rival Redskins in Week 16 serve as proof that the Gmen’s young signal-caller has a bright future. As with all rookie quarterbacks, there’s room for improvement in Jones’ game. He needs to improve his ball security, develop that killer instinct, learn how to lead an NFL team, and be the face of a team, the captain of a champion. These attributes need time to develop

This time would have been crucial. Time to build on the foundational chemistry initiated with his receivers last season. Time to get to know Joe Judge and understand his new Head Coach’s expectations. Time to mature his skillset. Time that will be missed, just like the sports and the spring we are missing now.

While it remains to be seen what type of impact this missed time will have on Daniel Jones and the Giants, one thing is certain. The NFL knows where our focus should be now. Our energy is best served in doing the things necessary to reduce the impact COVID-19 has on our nation, and the world.

When football returns, Daniel Jones and the New York Giants will be ready, and we will welcome them with open arms.

The post Covid-19 Impacts Giants and Daniel Jones first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

 <post-id xmlns="com-wordpress:feed-additions:1">12034</post-id>

Enter Joe Judge

Justin Van Wyen

New York Giants News

Dave Gettleman

Headline

Joe Judge

The Joe Judge era started for my beloved New York Football Giants…

The post Enter Joe Judge first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

The Joe Judge era started for my beloved New York Football Giants today. In an honest moment, I would tell you that the team I’ve loved for as long as I can remember has been hard to love for longer than I care to admit.

After we fired Tom Coughlin, we hired Ben McAdoo. The highlight of Ben McAdoo’s press conference was a suit that was two sizes too big. Coach McAdoo lost the locker room after a disappointing 1st round playoff loss, that had been overshadowed by a boat trip starring Odell Beckham Jr and OBJ. He had tried to remake Eli. He failed. Adios.

Enter Dave Gettleman. Gettleman’s marching orders were clear. Build around Eli. The GOAT deserved the opportunity to go out on his own terms. Gettleman’s choice to sit at the helm of our proud franchise? Pat Shurmur. A quarterback whisperer whose introductory press conference featured a power outage, a fitting microcosm of Shurmur’s tenure. The Gmen failed to execute on the field, stumbling to a 9-23 record, while Shurmur’s in-game strategy served as proof that the lights never came on after that press conference.

Enter Joe Judge, the virtually unknown Special Teams Coordinator of the New England Patriots. Who? From Where? How? To a fan base aching for something root to for, hiring a relative unknown instead of making the big splash that a sexy name would generate, seemed like a disappointment.

As I listened to the introductory press conference foe the 19th Head Coach in Giants history, a smile came to my lips. I had never heard of Joe Judge until two weeks ago. As I listened to him talk, I realized I’ve known him for as long as I’ve known The New York Football Giants.

His message, as his presence, is undeniably strong. We will be tough. We will be disciplined. If you’ve watched the Giants play over the past five seasons, I don’t have to tell you that mental errors, and a lack of discipline were the stamp we seemed to place on every game.

What makes me believe this guy? I know from where he came. Judge is a disciple of Bill Belichick, the New York Giants prodigal son. Belichick’s mantra while building a 20-year dynasty in New England that we not so secretly wish had been ours? Do. Your. Job. Do not beat yourself. Focus on your responsibility. The person next to you will do the same. The person next to him will also do the same. A simple concept that lead to the most successful run in the history of professional sport. And the new Judge in town? He’s had a front seat for all of it. He’s lived it. He believes in it. Captain Belichick? He believes in Judge too.

Pundits already point to Judge’s lack of Head Coach experience. It would be easy for me to say that every great coach has started somewhere. While that’s an undeniable fact, not every coach owns a room with the confidence with which our new coach owned his introductory press conference. Unlike his two predecessors, Judge displayed an undeniable confidence. He spoke of hiring good men. Men capable of teaching the fundamentals, the building blocks of success in the NFL. He spoke of a responsibility to his players. To be able to best determine their learning style, invest the time to coach them that way, and reward those who demonstrate ability with an opportunity to play. Sounds like a coach to me.

Belichick’s Patriots are known for maximizing the talent of their players. Coach Judge spoke passionately about focusing on what a player can do, as opposed to what they cannot, about giving players the opportunity to contribute by capitalizing on their strengths rather than their shortcomings.

As I listened, I realized, Joe Judge is the type of boss I would want to work for. My favorite bosses have encouraged me to utilize my strengths to do my job in the most effective way possible, identified areas of growth, developed core competencies that would allow me to achieve greatness in my role, and then watched me flourish. That’s what Joe Judge wants to do. That’s what he needs to, for a franchise who had rookies play the second highest number of snaps in 2019, and for a fan base who has lost faith in their colors.

The brand of football Joe Judge champions is familiar too. The tough, disciplined, hard-nosed, punch-in-the-mouth style he calls for? It’s that of the days of yore, brought to us in 1983 by a Defensive Coordinator turned Head Coach that began his career as a Linebackers Coach for the New England Patriots. Coach Judge not only shares that coach’s pedigree, but is also known for a similar meticulous attention to detail that Bill Parcells used to restore Giants Pride, and win Super Bowl’s XXI, and XXV. Along the way Parcells discovered and mentored Bill Belichick, who in-turn has discovered and mentored Joe Judge. Welcome Home Coach, those who BleedBigBlue are excited to watch you lead The New York Football Giants back to the glory we so fondly remember.

The post Enter Joe Judge first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

 <post-id xmlns="com-wordpress:feed-additions:1">11660</post-id>

This Loss is on Eli Manning

Justin Van Wyen

New York Giants News

Brandon Marshall

Dallas Cowboys

Eli Manning

Headline

This Loss is on Eli Manning. An offseason had been spent focusing on giving Eli a stable of weapons on the offensive side of the ball. After all, the offense had failed to score 20 points in last season’s final 7 games.

Welcome Brandon Marshall, a multi-time Pro Bowl wide receiver. Welcome Evan Engram, a Jordan Reed-esque tight end. A player worthy of investing a first round draft pick on. Welcome Rhett Ellenson. An H-back who will diversify the offense, and allow us to run something other than a 3-wide receiver set.
Hopes were high for the New York Giants entering the 2017 season. Even after OBJ went down in week 2 of the preseason with a high ankle sprain, Giants fans had a belief that the offense was now set to withstand a temporary OBJ absence. We had added talent and skill to couple with Sterling Shepard and Paul Perkins, allowing Eli to extend his Super Bowl window.

Then Game 1 started, and ended. The Giants lost tonight’s game 19-3.

Eli Manning is a Giants great. Two magical Super Bowl runs. A career filled with clutch plays and performances. A resume of success at Jerrah’s World. Command of a complex offense based on reads and timing. Thank you, Eli. We appreciate the memories. We remember your greatness fondly. I hate what I am about to write. Eli Manning is the reason we lost this game tonight.

All of those weapons on offense? Eli leveraged them for 5.8 yards per completion. We had 49 yards of total offense in the first half. We averaged less than 3 yards per play. We scored 3 points in the entire game. We had 35 yards rushing. Our starting running back, and leading rusher for the game had 16 yards. Thanks, Paul Perkins.

I watched a lot of football today. The Giants played at 8:20 pm ET. One trend in the league that I noticed is that the success of the modern QB hinges on their ability to make plays outside of the pocket. Marcus Mariota, Carson Wentz, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Tyrod Taylor, Matt Ryan, Josh McCown, Cam Newton, Deshaun Watson. I watched all of these players contribute to their offense by displaying a calmness and confidence to not only get outside the pocket, but also to make plays under duress. To put some pressure back on opposing defenses while showing athleticism. It’s not like Dak was a world beater tonight. His x-factor? Composure, along with his innate ability to make plays in space, which in turn neutralized the Giants pass rush that will anchor our defense this season.

Two-time Super Bowl Champion, Eli Manning? Not so much. If the ball is not ready to leave his hand at the top of his drop, he looks afraid. Panicked even. The ball ends up in the ground, or thrown so far off target that his receivers can’t make a play. Seldom was a player hit in stride tonight. Seldom was our QB competent.

There was zero continuity with Brandon Marshall. The two players looked as if they had never shared a field together. The 6’4” Marshall was targeted 4 times in 60 minutes. 4 times. Eli had him open with nothing but green grass down the sideline early in the second half, after the cornerback covering Marshall’s side of the field fell down. Eli avoided some pressure, stepped up in the pocket hastily, and hit Marshall in the outside hand frantically, giving him no shot to catch the ball, much less run with it. Eli also overshot him by 10 yards on a go route down the field in the second 3rd quarter. It’s not like Eli had better success with his other options at wide receiver. Eli finally threw the interception which proved to be the nail in the coffin on a mistimed slant to Roger Lewis halfway through the 4th quarter Way to make the most of your practice time to build chemistry fellas. It’s clear that no one was ready for the big stage in Week 1.

Eli’s lone success tonight came on a 16-play, 68-yard drive (that’s a whopping 4.25 yards per play) to start the second half. The drive took up 9:44 to start the 3rd quarter, and only netted three points. The kiss of death on that drive? Eli laying down on 2nd and goal, when he couldn’t pull the trigger on a fade route to Marshall. Classic Eli.
Eli’s cerebral dissection of opposing defense is always what made up for any lack of athleticism he may suffer from. Tonight, #10 treated us to a host of mental errors. There was the fake reverse to Roger Lewis, turned pitch to Paul Perkins that netted three yards because the ball was snapped after Lewis had already passed Manning as he came in motion down the line of scrimmage. Thanks Eli. There was the 3rd and 4 play early in the first half, that saw Eli hit Shepard on a 2-yard crossing route, where he was immediately tackled by Sean Lee. Throw it past the sticks Elisha. There was the closing seconds of the 3rd quarter, when the Giants were called for 12 men in the formation (not the huddle, the formation). After the penalty, the official wound the clock as per standard NFL procedure. And there’s our QB standing in the shotgun as the quarter expired, visibly befuddled by the clock hitting zero. He either didn’t know the rule, or forgot to check the clock; you decide what’s worse.

The most egregious sin of the evening? A pathetic excuse for a drive with 1:55 to go in the game, down sixteen. The only shot to win? A touchdown and two-point conversion, onside kick recovery, and hail mary. The Giants had one time-out. Admittedly, this is an uphill climb, but we know the game plan, right? Guess again. Eli decides to utilize the checkdown, and pad Shane Vereen’s stats for the evening, while at the same time never even sniff the sideline. The result? The ball at midfield with 23 ticks left as the Giants use their solitary timeout. Way to have an understanding of time, score, and situation. Very cerebral.

After tonight, one thing is clear. The issues that plagued the 2017 Giants will most likely plague the 2018 squad. We’ll go as far as our defense will take us. The offense? Until OBJ can put on his Superman cape, don’t expect much. The only thing worse than Coach Ben McAdoo’s slicked back hairstyle, is his offensive stylings. Forget a run game, much less play-action. On a 3rd and 1 late in the second half, the Giants are back in the shotgun with an empty backfield. Awesome.

I feel bad for our defense. They held their own tonight. They bent, but didn’t break, conceding four field goals, and a sole touchdown. They have no support from their counterparts on offense. Eli Manning used to make good players great. Now he needs great players to carry his unit. The effort was their defensively. BJ Goodson had 18 tackles. Jackrabbit Jenkins battled and contained Dez Bryant most of the evening. Snacks Harrison, JPP, and Olivier Vernon played admirably, specifically in a first half in which the Gmen lost the time of possession battle and overexposed their defense. All the defense’s efforts were for naught.

This one’s on Eli Manning…

The post This Loss is on Eli Manning first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

 <post-id xmlns="com-wordpress:feed-additions:1">8752</post-id>

Jason Pierre-Paul Undefeated Quote

Justin Van Wyen

New York Giants News

New York Giants Podcast

Headline

Jason Pierre Paul

JPP

Jason Pierre-Paul Undefeated Quote. They don’t want me here anymore.’ “

He also added.

“A lot of people probably don’t know this: Let’s say I played well, was a 1,000-yard receiver last year, it would have been more difficult from a fan perspective to cut me. If I’m a 1,000-yard guy, they’re like ‘Why are you cutting Cruz? He just had 1,000 yards and had five or six touchdowns. That doesn’t make sense.’ But if I have 500 yards or whatever the case may be, it’s a little easier on the fans to be like, ‘Oh, he didn’t play well, so that’s why the cut him.’ And if I played well, they owed me a ton of money that next year so it was like, ‘Let’s get Cruz off the books.’ “

Leave a comment below and let me know what you think!

The post Victor Cruz Salty From The Giants Departure? first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

 <post-id xmlns="com-wordpress:feed-additions:1">8447</post-id>

Odell Beckham Jr Misses 1st Day Of OTA’s

Justin Van Wyen

New York Giants News

New York Giants Podcast

Headline

Odell Beckham Jr

Odell Beckham Jr Misses 1st Day Of OTA’s.
