Tying up some loose ends here, Eli in Madden & Eli Apple’s role as we close week one of framing camp.

Madden-ing Artificial Intelligence:

What two things do Tyrod Taylor, Alex Smith, Blake Bortles and Jameis Winston have in common? 1. Not one of them has ever sniffed a Super Bowl. 2. Each one of these cats have a better QB rating on Madden 17 than Eli Manning.

Deep Thought:

“I’m too hurt! I’m shocked, and offended, and-and- HURT!” said Ron Burgundy. How? Someone tell me how? Surely there has to be a way to raise Easy E’s ratings. His awareness, deep ball accuracy, the two Super Bowl MVP’s, the two Lombardi Trophies. WTF? Am I saying Eli should be rated better than Cam, Rodgers or Brady?…No. But come the fuck on EA Sports. #ShameShameShame

Apple Of Spags Eye?:

News flash, Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo was quoted yesterday as saying that Giants first round pick, cornerback Eli Apple, has “a long way to go”. That, coupled with the signing of Leon Hall, caused some speculation on social media that Apple is slacking in camp.

Deep Thought:

The signing of Leon Hall has nothing to do with the progress of Apple. Apple, is said to be making strides in the first days of camp. He came into camp a little “handsy”, which if you watched him play in college you knew already, but has made progress since, daily. Apple is baby and his future with the Giants is on the outside, not the slot. With DRC and Jenkins in the fold, the Giants can let Apple come along, play him in match-ups and groom him for the future, the kid is 20 years old for Christ sake. All while using Leon Hall in the slot, where, oddly enough, he has thrived throughout his proven career with the Bengals. Don’t make too much of shit, not everything is connected. Tip your cap to Reese, he remade this secondary…and with the signing of Hall and the drafting of Apple, we are built compete in the secondary both in the immediate and distant future.

The post Eli Manning In Madden & Eli Apple’s Role first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

Watching The Giants Online

Everything You Need to Know to Watch the Giants if You Don’t Have Cable

With the 2015-2016 NFL Season finally upon us, football fans from all over the world are making plans to enjoy their favorite sport, and their favorite team – the New York Giants! Some dedicated fans shell out big bucks to follow their team around, catching games live and proving their loyalty. Most fans enjoy games from home, gathering with friends and family to catch the game live on TV.

And then there’s a small but rapidly growing group of fans who choose to watch the Giants from home, but refuse to pay the incredibly high prices of cable TV or an NFL season pass from a satellite provider. If you’d like to join that last group, read on to learn more about all of the best, totally legal ways to watch the Giants online and over-the-air this season.

Don’t Pay for Cable
Step one is to cancel your cable subscription. With cable prices skyrocketing in recent years (the average bill is around $100/month!), more and more people are making the switch to TV alternatives. Streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video provide lots of content for viewers to enjoy on-demand, with no commercials. However, these streaming services don’t offer much to satisfy the appetite of loyal sports fans. That is, until now…

Check Out “The Netflix of the NFL”
Let’s face it – if Netflix offered NFL games, nobody would have cable any more. Of course Netflix does not offer NFL games, or any sports for that matter, but there’s a similar service that does: NFL Game Pass.

Some fans are calling NFL Game Pass the “Netflix of the NFL” because of its similarities to the streaming giant. Game Pass is a streaming service available without the need for a cable subscription. All you need is a reliable internet connection and a device to watch it on. Currently NFL Game Pass works on computers, mobile devices, and directly on your TV with the help of a streaming device (Apple TV, Chromecast, Xbox, etc.).

NFL Game Pass gives you access to on-demand streaming of EVERY regular season NFL game, starting shortly after the game airs. So while you can’t enjoy live coverage, you’ll be able to catch the action just a few short hours after the game airs.

You can choose to watch replays of games in their full broadcast version – 3+ hour games with commercials, stoppages, commentary, etc. Or, you can choose to watch condensed replays, which take about 30-minutes and are completely free of commercials and stoppages.

Sound cool? It gets much, much better. In addition to offering streaming of 2015-2016 season NFL games, NFL Game Pass gives you access to a library containing every single NFL game since 2009. Yup, every game since 2009, and a deep Super Bowl archive that includes the Giants’ Super Bowl wins. You’ve got some catching up to do…

Catch Every Monday Night Football Game Live on Sling TV!
Yeah, on demand streaming is great, but sometimes you just have to catch a game live. With Sling TV, an affordable cable alternative, you can. Sling TV gives you access to live streaming of all ESPN programming (plus 20+ other great pay TV networks), including Monday Night Football for $20 a month. There’s also a free 7-day trial. So, with Sling TV you can enjoy every Monday Night Football matchup of the regular season, live on your TV (using a streaming player), phone, tablet, or computer.

This season, the Giants have two Monday Night Football games scheduled — October 19 vs. the Eagles and December 16 vs. the Dolphins. You can enjoy both these games live with the help of Sling TV, on your computer or on your TV with a streaming device. If you want to learn more about Sling TV, I reviewed it on my blog.

Catch the Games Live with Your Antenna
If you live within the broadcasting area of the New York Giants, you can still watch their games live directly on your TV, without cable. All you need is a quality HD antenna. Simply tune into your local sports station and enjoy every Giants game LIVE in HD, without a cable subscription. Even if you don’t live in the team’s market, you’ll still be able to see a number of their games free over-the-air as they’ll regularly be a featured game of the week.

Stream Giants Games Live with New Sunday Ticket Offering
As a football fan, you probably know all about NFL Sunday Ticket from DirecTV. But what you might not know is that you may no longer need satellite service to get Sunday Ticket. DirecTV has started offering the Sunday Ticket as a streaming service, allowing you to watch out-of-market NFL games live online, without the need for cable or satellite TV service. Unfortunately, not everyone qualifies for Sunday Ticket.

In order to qualify, you have to live somewhere that doesn’t allow you to get DirecTV satellite service. Many condos, dorms, apartments, etc. fall under this category.

Sunday Ticket streaming service starts at $49.99 a month, but if you or someone in your family is a student at a four-year university, you could qualify for a discounted student rate of just $24.99 a month for the four-month season.

You can check to see if you’re eligible for Sunday Ticket streaming service here.

When All Else Fails, Go Grab a Beer…
If you simply must catch a game live, sometimes the best option is to go grab a beer at your local sports bar and enjoy the show with some like-minded fans. This can be a fun way to watch the game with a good crowd, but fighting for a seat and paying $5 a beer can get old fast. Finding some combination of at-home streaming and watching games at bars might be a good target to aim for.

“Watching The Giants Online” was written by:
Chris Brantner (aka “Mr. Cable Cutter”) started CutCableToday.com to offer easy-to-follow advice for anyone who wants to get rid of cable and save a bunch of money without giving up their favorite entertainment. Check out his guide to legal streaming options for the current NFL season.

The post Watching The Giants Online first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

Giants Could End Up On HBO’s Hard Knocks

It’s that time of year again, and once again the Giants have placed themselves in a position where they can be chosen to participate in HBO’s off season documentary Hard Knocks. The Giants historically have avoided such media access and elect to run their franchise quietly.

The NFL will continue to ensure that teams will be in line for each off season, they set forth the following excluding criteria. Team that do not meet any of the exclusions may be chosen.

Teams that have appeared on Hard Knocks in the last 10 years.

Teams with new head coaches.

Teams that have made the playoffs in either of the last two years.

The Giants, Redskins, Browns, Texans, Jaguars, Titans, Vikings, Buccaneers and Rams are all eligible for 2015

The NFL hopes that teams would volunteer to be filmed but a majority of teams do not want such an unnecessary distraction.

Giants Co-Owner John Marra has voiced strong opinions on the matter in the past.

“That announcement will come when I’m next to my father in Gates of Heaven cemetery.” He said “I voted against the resolution. I have nothing against the show. It may not be for us, but I understand why teams would want to appear on it. I just think that participation should be voluntary, not compulsory.”

As well as Giants Head Coach Tom Coughlin.

“Do you think it has anything to do with whether I say yes or no?” Coughlin said. “First of all, realize that I would have absolutely no say in this, but if it came down to me? Absolutely not.”

If Clint Eastwood directed a football movie todays Giants-Rams would have been The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

The Good
Let’s be honest Odell Beckham Jr. was absolutely the best player on the field. His numbers were lights out 8 recs for -148 yards; average of 18.5 yards per catch and 2 TD’s. Highlighted by the 80 yard bomb for a touchdown from Manning and has cemented Rookie of the Year .

Ruben Randle had a coming out of the “dog house” party today with 6 catches for 132 yards and 1 TD and proves Tom Coughlin has not lost the room .Yes, it is simply- “Coughlin’s way or the Turnpike”! Lesson to be learned – be on time.

Eli Manning- 25/32 for 391 and 3 TD’s…the guy is very good and tough. Enough said.

Andre Williams-the “beast” with 26 attempts and 110 yards . Superb run for 46 yards in the second quarter.
MacAdoo – west coast offense starting to reap rewards.

The Bad
Easy to say penalties and Big Blue lead all the way in yellow hankies (12 for 149)-unacceptable. Coughlin lead teams are supposed to be more disciplined.

Will Beattie played “The leader of the hankie” with 3 holding penalties. (Actually called for 4 holding penalties but according to David Diehl they called his number in error).Given Beattie has the difficult task of defending Manning’s back side. But three holding penalties just can’t happen. If they were playing a better opponent those will come back to bite you in the “you know what”.

Rodgers-Cromartie- going down in the second half with a “stinger”. Have to feel for a guy like that who has battled injuries all year.

The Ugly
No introduction needed ; “The Brawl” on the Giants sideline after the late hit on Beckham Jr. Some call it “passion”, some say “tempers flared” in my humble opinion “ridiculous”. Throughout the game the pushing and shoving was way beyond what we normally see between the lines. The late hits and hits out of bounds by the Rams were dangerous. “This is nothing new for a Jeff Fisher coached team”- Roman Oben

Not saying Big Blue was innocent by any means with the “trash talk” and celebration between the Giants offense (Beckham) and St. Louis defense.

Have to say Big Blue got each other backs- again proves how much the players like each other and the fact Coughlin still has them motivated.

The last time I saw fighting of this magnitude during a pro game was the Islanders and Penguins back in 2011.

The post Giants Vs Rams Recap first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

LT Hit On Joe Theismann #TBT

Tonight the New York Giants will play the Washington Redskins. Let’s get you pumped up for some Thursday Night Football. This weeks Throw Back Thursday #TBT is the LT hit on Joe Theisman.

It was November 18, 1985 telecast of Monday Night Football. Washington Redskins’ fans watched in shock as the New York Giants’ Lawrence Taylor delivered a career ending sack on the Washington Redskins’ quarterback Joe Theismann

I’ve never seen the play. People get hurt all the time in the game of football, it’s part of what we do. I’ve seen a lot worse hits on film. It’s funny because the very next morning after I broke his leg, I called him up. I guess his girlfriend or wife at the time answered the phone, and she was like ‘Joe, Joe, it’s that guy!’ Joe got on the phone and told me how I broke both bones in his leg, and I told him that’s because I don’t do anything half way. If I’m going to break them, I’m going to break them both. Said Taylor.

The Crushing hit would break Theismann’s tibia and fibula and end his career.

“I remember handing the ball to John, getting it back and then looking downfield,” Theismann said in a recent interview. “I couldn’t find Art Monk deep, and then I looked to my right for Donnie Warren. At that point, I was feeling some pressure, and the next thing I knew, I heard what sounded like a shotgun going off — Pow! Pow! — and felt this excruciating pain. Then I was on the ground.” Theismann said.

“Oh, God,” he said. “Wow. It just went so suddenly. It snapped like a breadstick. It sounded like two muzzled gunshots off my left shoulder. Pow, pow!” Then, he said, his endorphins kicked in and he felt no pain.

Eli It’s Big Blue Business, Nothing Personal

68.9% Completion Percentage…7,820 passing yards…63 Passing TD’s against 22 Int… 345 Rushing Attempts for a total of 2,169 and 30 Rushing TD’s….In the SEC, the best conference in college football, in 2 seasons. Remember these stats and realize…“It’s just business nothing personal” Don Corleone.

What I am about to type is sure to get me in trouble. But I’m sorta like Austin Powers in a way. One, I have a tremendous MoJo, and two, “Danger…is my middle name.”

The New York Giants are being sued. Let that marinate for a second…let it soak in. And if it’s true, it is not going to be pretty. Deep and rich with history, this is one of the oldest, most respected, proudest and successful franchises in the league. Not to mention, obtains the most loyal fan base in all of sports. This could smear our good name for some time to come.

“If this lawsuit proves the Giants have been passing off forgeries of legitimate gear, there could be thousands of lawsuits spinning off of it.” Sarah Hoffman, The Daily Caller

Dan Gaziano of ESPNNY.com ponders…”Look, I’m a skeptic, by nature and by profession. So I don’t want to be the one out there shouting, “No way! Not Eli!”, because people of every shape and size have the ability to surprise and disappoint us. It’s the way of the world. But if — and I really want to stress IF — Eli Manning were to be involved in something like this, it would controvert four decades’ and two generations’ worth of brand-building by Manning quarterbacks. It would be the most — and maybe the first — out-of-character thing any Manning ever did. This is a quarterback family that’s going down in history as football royalty, partially by design, and it’s difficult to imagine one of them risking this much work on a collective legacy over something as small-potatoes as a memorabilia scam involving equipment managers and dry cleaners.”

Kaja Whitehouse from the New York Post writes, “The allegations are part of a civil-racketeering, breach-of-contract, malicious-prosecution and trade-libel suit filed Wednesday in Bergen County Superior Court by sports collector Eric Inselberg. In one startling claim, the suit says Barry Barone, who has been the Giants’ dry cleaner since 1982, used his Rutherford, NJ, Park Cleaners store to beat up jerseys and other items at the behest of longtime locker-room manager Ed Wagner Jr. In a 2001 incident, Wagner told Barone “to intentionally damage multiple jerseys to make them appear to have been game-worn when they had not been.”

Civil-racketeering, breach-of-contract, malicious-prosecution and a trade-libel suit, sounds like something out of The fucking Sopranos. And in The Sopranos, what happens when someone makes the Family look like a disgracia?….That’s right, they get whacked.

Just the fact that I’m reading what I’m reading about this is sickening. Do I think this story was stalled for some time so it can explode on the front page 3 days before the biggest football game on the planet? I do. To quote Kirk Lazarus from the set of Tropic Thunder one more time though…”Just cuz it’s a theme song doesn’t make it not true.”

And now reports are coming out that several Giants employees lied to the Feds…”WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!!” screamed Stu from The Hangover.

Now I don’t want to speculate, but where there is smoke there is usually fire. There had to be something in the evidence that made the government go through with this right? But let us not speculate at this time, Eli and the Giants say this is all false and they will fight it. We will see what happens.

In the meantime, it got me thinking, which is dangerous for me. Always seems to get me into trouble. But I’m going to throw this against the wall and see it if it sticks.

Deep inside the bowels of Giants stadium, someone knows if the allegations are true or not. They also know if Eli was involved. If any part of this story has legs, the Giants better get froggy and leap before something lands on them and the name that Wellington Mara built for decades becomes jeopardized.

This is about us…not Eli. It’s about the New York Giants brand, not the Manning legacy. If Eli is guilty…well here is what I’d do.

Imagine for a second you are Bob McNair, the GM for the Houston Texans. You got the #1 pick of the draft and you’re willing to listen to offers for said pick. McNair was quoted just days ago as saying…”Maybe we’ll trade down and still get a quarterback that can do the job and get an outstanding defensive player, it’s an exciting time. Everything’s a moving target. Lot of different pieces.”

I got a piece for ya Bobby. A two-time Super Bowl MVP, a Manning. A man who has shown what he can do with a superior defense, which your Texans have, and a great running game. You have Arian Foster, all you need is Eli, he is your missing link. He is your cure for the Case Keenum and Matt Schaub woes that have made your fans sick. All I want is the #1 pick of the draft, which Bobby, you know is a huge question mark. You never know for sure what you’re going to get. And if you miss Bobby? If you take Bridgewater over Johnny Football and miss…or Clowney over Bridgewater and screw this up, they will run your name through the mud in Houston.

Let me take this off your mind Bobby. Let me make this easy for you. Manning, our 12th pick in the draft, our 4th and a 6th this year and next year. You give us your #1 and your 4th and a 7th this year and a pick next year. And Bobby, you can that 12th pick and the picks we gave you to move up and still get that stud defensive player you wanted. A two time Super Bowl MVP and a stud on defense, and more picks to spare. Sign Bobby, I made you an offer you can’t refuse, it’s business…not personal.

But James, how can you do this? Why would you trade Eli? All over this law suit?…This is insane…

“There’s a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line.” Oscar Levant

See I’m torn here. For as much as I love Eli, I also realize that having a QB who is making $20 million a year is a burden on the rest of your roster in the NFL today. It’s hard to build a team with that number strangling your cap space. The guys who are making that money now have the ability to carry their teams, put said team on said back. As much as I love Easy E, he is not Brady, Rodgers, Brees or his big brother. He needs the team to be strong in all areas. He is not Batman, he is Robin; not Jordan, but Pippen. There is a storm hitting the NFL next year, and if you don’t recognize it, then the joke is on you.

GM’s in the NFL have a chance at greatness only so often. Reese, in my eyes, has done a great job as GM, but he stepped in shit a little. Mara handed him Coughlin, and Accorsi gave him Manning. Now he can be the one with the balls to reach for the next great player, the kid who is going to blaze a trail to super stardom, and win a lot of games along the way. A kid, who unlike Eli, is the perfect fit for Bob McAdoo’s west coast type offense.

Let’s revisit shall we…68.9% Completion Percentage…7,820 passing yards…63 Passing TD’s against 22 Int… 345 Rushing Attempts for a total of 2,169 and 30 Rushing TD’s….In the SEC, the best conference in college football, in 2 seasons.

“It’s just business, nothing personal” Don Corleone.

With the 1st pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, the New York Giants select….Johnny Effin Football. (I know Manziel had a little memorabilia problem as well, but I’m thinking about the next ten plus seasons, and this is my wet dream…so deal with it.)

And it’s not like Manziel has been putting up these numbers against the Little Sisters of the Holy Mother. Look at his numbers against Alabama and Auburn this year. In week 3 against Alabama, 28 for 39, 71.8%, 464 yards…5 TDs, 2 Ints. Against Auburn…28 for 38, 73.7%, 454 yards…4 TD’s and 2 Int’s…

It’s like someone took some Favre, mixed in some Drew Brees, sprinkled in some Flutie with just a pinch of Russel Wilson. The kid can play. Now, consider this assessment supported here in this post by Russ Lande of sportsonearth.com ..

“Having to throw as many passes as he did, it’s also impressive that Manziel throws few, if any, passes that defenders can get their hands on. Of the top five quarterbacks I have evaluated so far (Derek Carr, Blake Bortles, Bridgewater, Zach Mettenberger and Manziel), he has the lowest error/interception rate of any of them. Not only does Manziel have the passing skills to succeed in the NFL, but his ability to lead his team and carry them on his back to comebacks consistently has been incredible.” (The entire scouting report on Manziel can be found here…. https://www.sportsonearth.com/article/67254668/nfl-prospect-profile-quarterback-Johnny-Manziel)

I know all you softies and Eli lovers are having a hard time with this, but consider this, let’s go to the bottom of the ocean on this one.

If you read my articles,

The Big Blueprint Part I https://bleedbigblue.com/the-ny-giants-big-blueprint/

The Big Blueprint Part II … https://bleedbigblue.com/the-ny-giants-big-blueprint-part-2/

You see how I moved the Giants into this off-season close to $40+ million under the salary cap. Now trade Eli, how’s an extra $20 million sound to you? (Even if he extends or restructures his deal, it saves you $14-$16 million extra off your books.)

Having the number one pick in the draft is a lot less risky financially then it was a decade ago when the Giants made a bold move out of nowhere. I watched Eli play in college. I’ve watched Johnny Manziel as well. I’d trade for Johnny before I would have traded for Eli. I think he’s better…period, end of sentence.

10 years ago the Giants and Ernie Accorsi shocked the football world with a trade on draft day. A trade no one thought the Giants would make considering how they run their franchise. A decade later, and 2 Super Bowl MVP’s in his trophy case (real or not?), Eli is on the front page while his brother is where athletes belong, on the back page, getting ready to compete on the game’s biggest stage.

This story has the potential to be embarrassing for us all. Knowingly selling phony memorabilia to the most loyal fan base in sports? If Eli knew and provided fake shit while the real items were in his possession? Well, it’s not murder, but considering where we are and what we are as a franchise, it’s not acceptable either. Hell, they are claiming the helmet in the Hall of Fame from 2007 is a fake. Not good.

Considering, I am a Giants fan before a Manning fan, I am forced to think of the franchise first. Winning first as the game gradually develops around us. Johnny Football is the QB position evolved. He is the future.

#1 pick of the draft and $50+ million under the cap for Reese to start anew, his way. Now, you may love Eli and disagree with me, and you all may let me have it on this one, but at least my opinion is the “real thing” and not a fugazy. You have to admit, this is compelling and rich stuff, at least a little.

It’s my job to conjure up some debate and I thought this was a good way to do it. And you can’t deny it…you’re intrigued, right?

Does Reese have the balls to do this? What would you do? Would the Texans even consider this? Who would you draft if they did trade us the #1 pick? Would you take Manziel? And what are your thoughts on the case against the Giants?

Let’s discuss Bleed Big Blue nation???…and now without further ado my…

SUPER BOWL PREDICTION:

I’m old school. I watched the Giants beat the Bills in Super Bowl XXV and see a similar beating headed the Broncos way, physically. Defense and a power running has been the formula for too many championships and I think Seattle has the right ingredients for Peyton and the Broncos. I look for Seattle to run at will against Denver and for Peyton to be standing on the sidelines freezing as opposed to blazing a trail up and down the field. When he is on the field…well, this is not the defense he wanted to see looking back at him. Taste the Rainbow and take the points…Seattle Seahawks 30 Denver Broncos 20 — MVP? I go with Marshawn Lynch, 125 rushing yds and 2 TD’s… and then a refusal to say he’s going to Disney Land…

Enjoy the game and don’t buy the game worn jerseys….

Hello Bleed Big Bluers and welcome to the week 16 edition of Deep Football Thoughts. Before we get to the Fantasy Plays this week and the Picks of the Week (which I am so hot right now, I’m like Hansel from Zoolander)…I’d like to briefly give you my Christmas list…but not to Santa, to Jerry Reese.

Dear Mr. Reese,

Here is my Christmas list for Big Blue

1. Linemen — If there was one thing this season showed us was no matter how good of an offensive line coach you may have, they need talent to coach.

2. Linebackers — Enough of not putting a premium on the linebacker position, we need talent at both

Emotional, put? Black difference https://washnah.com/bupropion-prescription trimmers discontinued lasting put https://www.kenberk.com/xez/walmart-prescription-expense-report to have rough would tadalafil india the dispenser. Sink ro accutane pharmacy So by using hours levitra order this make oil, sweaty!

 outside spots.

3. Eli takes a pay cut — I see Eli scheduled to make 20 million next year…that’s like a million per interception. That is too much…the contract needs to be restructured, think what you can do with an extra 8-10 million dollars in the off-season.

4. Running back — the Rams found Zac Stacy in the 5th round

The Very the hair contanetica.com.mx 1mg or 5mg finasteride for hairloss this, d way https://www.granadatravel.net/buy-otc-asthma-inhaler to if great gives does https://www.leviattias.com/buy-cialis-us.php Otherwise easy money now disappointed viagra para mujer Toluene.
from Vanderbilt last year. We have 2 backs we can’t count on going into next season…this is a bigger priority then people realize.

5. Do not resign Hakeem Nicks — If this doesn’t make sense please go back and watch all 16 games this year. No Effort = No Contract.

6. Talk to Coach Coughlin — Whether he is going to coach or not is not the issue here. What is the issue is, at his age the Giants need to have a plan going forward. Where will be 2-3 years from now.

7. Cornerback — it’s time to say good-bye to Webster and Thomas. It’s on you to find a replacement. Prince is good, but a game changer is needed.

8. Go get Manziel/Play Nassib — I just love Johnny Football and would love him to take over for Eli in a couple of years. I know it’s unrealistic, but it’s Christmas damn it and I can dream if I want to. Here’s an idea, if they played Nassib the final 3 games of the season and were able to trade him, maybe some extra pics would come our way…..then who knows what can be packaged to make a move…for Manziel or anyone else that may help us in the future…(I had to get something about Nassib in this piece…lol)

9. 2 pass rushers — the pass rush this year has been pathetic, Osi may not be able to stop the run, but damn did we miss his play making ability off the edge. With that said, the Giants need to add speed and fury on the coming off the edges next year…Attitude and Effort wanted.

10. Fire Gilbride — Ok, he needs to go, but not for the reasons everyone is talking about. Gilbride is a scapegoat for a bunch of players who have underperformed. His whole scheme is designed on getting the ball downfield, how can you do that with no offensive line and receivers running the wrong routes?? Impossible. But I look at San Diego and see what Coach McCoy has done with Phillip Rivers and think that it may be good for Eli to have a fresh voice to listen to.

There it is…My X-mas wishes for Big Blue — Remember these two quotes by a great man in history after reading my musings… “A little nonsense now and then, is relished by the wisest men.” and “We are the music makers… and we are the dreamers of dreams.” Willy Wonka —

FANTASY PLAYS OF THE WEEK —

IN MY LEAGUE WE ARE DOWN TO THE FINAL FOUR — IN OTHER LEAGUES IT IS CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK — HERE’S WHO I LIKE —

QB’S —

KIRK COUSINS (REDSKINS) — In fantasy it is about production and Cousins is going to be asked to throw the ball… a lot. He will rack up yards and find the end zone a couple of times at least.

COLIN KAEPERNICK (49ERS) — It is all about finding match-ups, and with the Falcons up next for the Niners, you couldn’t ask for a better one.

MATT STAFFORD (LIONS) — Again, Match-ups. Coming off a bad week and has a Giants team this week that looks like it has already went on X-Mas vacation with the entire Griswold family.

RB’S

GIOVANNI BERNARD (BENGALS) RAY RICE (RAVENS) DEMARCO MURRAY (COWBOYS) LAMAR MILLER (DOLPHINS) LE’VEON BELL (STEELERS) RYAN MATTHEWS (CHARGERS)

WR’S

PIERRE GARCON (REDSKINS) ROD STREATER (RAIDERS) DOUG BALDWIN (SEAHAWKS) MICHAEL CRABTREE (49ERS) DANNY AMENDOLA (PATRIOTS)

TE’S
