Giants injury news: RB Gary Brightwell, OT Matt Peart back to practice

Giants could get a couple of players back for final three games

The New York Giants are opening the 21-day window for running back Gary Brightwell and offensive tackle Matt Peart to return from injured reserve. Both players will practice on Wednesday.

Brightwell has not played since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 7 against the Washington Commanders. Peart has not played since suffering a shoulder injury Week 5 against the Miami Dolphins.

Opening their practice window now gives both players a chance to return to action at some point over the season’s final three games.

Kicker change

Coach Brian Daboll told media on Wednesday that placekicker Randy Bullock is “not great” after injuring his hamstring Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. Daboll did not say whether Bullock would be placed on season-ending IR. He did indicate the expectation is for practice squad placekicker Cade York to be the Giants’ kicker on Monday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Day off for Dexter

Dexter Lawrence, who has seen his snaps limited the past two games as he deals with a hamstring injury, is not practicing on Wednesday. As of now, no update on whether right tackle Evan Neal (ankle) will be available against the Eagles.
