New York Giants Smoke Screen Attempt

by Marco Ceo

The New York Giants Smoke Screen Attempt With Oregon QB Justin Herbert. Will it work? Was it a smokescreen attempt?

Call it what you will, due diligence, smoke screen, whatever. I wouldn’t lose sleep over the Giants Head Coach Joe Judge having face time conversations with Oregon QB Justin Herbert.

Per Ian Rapoport A draft tidbit to file away for Thursday: The Giants have spent a lot of time researching Oregon QB Justin Herbert, a process that’s included FaceTime conversations with coach Joe Judge, per me and @MikeGarafolo . NYG has been exhaustive in its draft prep at No. 4.

Is this Just due diligence by The New York Giants?

Most likey this is all due diligence and nothing more. Giants GM Dave Gettleman is trying to get a feel for players to complete his process and draft board. It’s all part of the process.

“You evaluate everybody, you give them complete shrift, you don’t give them short shrift,” general manager Dave Gettleman said at the NFL Scouting Combine, per Greg Joyce of the New York Post. “You give them the complete thing and you evaluate and you set your board.”
