Even if you have subscribed to the relevant 2022 Super Bowl rights holders, you won’t be able to access the game when outside your home country. The service will know your location based on your IP address, and will automatically block your access.

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) solves this problem. It creates a private connection between your device and the internet, so you can access free local streams from anywhere – and save money!

How to use a VPN
Using a VPN is incredibly simple.

  1. Install the VPN of your choice. ExpressVPN is the one we recommend.
  2. Open up the VPN app and choose the location of the service you wish to access. For the Super Bowl, you may wish to choose ‘London’ to access BBC iPlayer.

The spot will also feature famed deaf musicians Warren “Wawa” Snipe and Sean Forbes. The pair will offer American Sign Language to viewers on NBC. Mickey Guyton will sing the national anthem, while six-time Grammy-nominated artist Jhené Aiko will sing America the Beautiful ahead of the anthem.

Super Bowl LVI won’t be Mary J. Blige’s first rodeo. In 2002 the singer (briefly) appeared alongside Britney Spears, *NSYNC, and Nelly during Aerosmith’s performance of Walk This Way (see below).

Can I watch the 2022 Super Bowl in 4K?
Sadly Bengals vs Rams won’t be available in 4K. Three networks – CBS, NBC and Fox – rotate Super Bowl coverage each season. In 2020, Fox streamed Super Bowl LIV in 4K resolution (though it was shot in 1080p and upscaled) marking a first for the history of the event. But it remains a one-off, with last year’s host CBS citing “production limitations caused by the Covid-19 pandemic” as the reason behind its decision to downgrade.

There had been some hope that NBC might be in a position to extend its live 4K offering to this year’s game when it takes place on February 13th, given that some of its coverage from the Tokyo Olympics was in 4K/HDR with certain events even having Dolby Atmos sound. The network has also already confirmed that several games at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics will also be available in 4K. Sadly, it now seems to be a lost cause.

Super Bowl LVI injury report
The Bengals’ Super Bowl LVI injury report is in. Tight end C.J. Uzomah dramatically threw off his knee brace at a Super Bowl pep rally and has vowed not to miss the biggest game of his life. Trey Hendrickson is still in doubt but rookie guard Jackson Carman says he feels better. Who starts? That remains a mystery for now.

Joe Burrow vs Matthew Stafford: who is better?
Super Bowl LVI brings us an epic QB matchup: Joe Burrow vs Matthew Stafford. Both have had MVP-worthy seasons, but who is better?

Bengals QB Joe Burrow has a reputation of accuracy. He’s got a 68.2% completion percentage, and completed north of 70% of his passes this season.

Rams QB Matthew Stafford has completed 63% of his attempts throughout his career and often under-throws the ball. On the upside, he has one of the strongest arms in the NFL.

Stafford also has the experience – 13 years in the NFL. Burrow is a young whippersnapper by comparison. Can he soak up the pressure and become the first player to win the Heisman trophy, the NCAA National Title and the Super Bowl?

Who are the Cincinnati Bengals?

The Cincinnati Bengals were founded in 1966, when they joined the American Football League (AFL). The team won the AFC in 1981 and 1988 but hit the skids in the 1990s and 2000s, becoming known as “The Bungles” due to their poor performances.

That’s all changed under current Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor. The side just won their first playoff game in 31 years against the Las Vegas Raiders, before going on to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs and win the NFL AFC Championship.

“Special team,” said Taylor after lifting the Lamar Hunt trophy. “We are a special team that is capable of doing special things. We believed from the get-go, whether people believed us or not, we did. We are not surprised. This is where we are meant to be, and I am proud of the guys in the locker room.”

Now, the Bengals can look ahead to Super Bowl Sunday – the biggest game of the biggest season in NFL history. Can star Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase survive the onslaught from the Rams’ brutal offensive plays?

Who are the Los Angeles Rams?

The Los Angeles Rams were founded in 1936. They moved to St Louis in 1994, winning the Super Bowl in 2000 before losing out to the Patriots in 2002 and 2019. Now back in California, the Rams play out of the spectacular So-Fi Stadium, a giant sports entertainment complex in Inglewood.

The Rams squeaked through a Divisional playoff game against the Buccaneers before breaking a six-game losing streak to rivals the 49ers to make it to Super Bowl LVI. No wonder they’re already 4-point favourites to beat the Bengals.

Aaron Donald and the Rams’ defensive front is a force to be reckoned with, while Cincinnati’s defence has faltered on occasion. If the Rams can put together a game to max out the talents of Odell Beckham Jr, Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp, they’re on for a second Super Bowl – their first in Los Angeles.
