The team has already made significant cuts, releasing 13 players, but 24 more remain to be trimmed.

Practice Squad Offers Opportunity.

Each NFL team can maintain a 17-player practice squad, which includes one spot for the International Player Pathway Program. These players provide depth and can be promoted to the active roster when needed.

Waiver Wire Activity Expected.

Even after the Giants make their final cuts, the work isn’t over. Within 24 hours of final cuts, players on waivers will be claimed, and the Giants, holding the sixth waiver priority, are expected to be active.

Current Roster Movement.

The Giants have already released several players, including:

RB Joshua Kelley

RB Lorenzo Lingard

WR John Jiles

WR Ayir Asante

OL Marcus McKethan

DL Kyler Baugh

LB Trey Kiser

CB Breon Borders

CB Christian Holmes

S Clayton Isbell

DB Jonathan Sutherland

OL Matt Nelson

DT Timmy Horne

These moves are just the beginning as the team finalizes its roster. Some players who make the initial 53-man roster may still be at risk if the Giants claim players off the waiver wire.

The coming days will be critical as the Giants navigate these roster decisions, aiming to build a team ready to compete in the regular season. Fans should stay tuned as the final roster takes shape, knowing that the moves made now will have a lasting impact on the season ahead.

About Us.

BleedBigBlue.com burst onto the scene after a fiery social media rant about PSL’s and ticket prices went viral. After yesterday’s initial wave of releases, the team announced more roster moves, adding three more names to the list. This brings the Giants one step closer to finalizing their 53-man roster for the upcoming season.

The Latest Cuts to the Roster.

In today’s update, the Giants have released offensive lineman Matt Nelson. Additionally, they waived/injured defensive tackle Timmy Horne and defensive back Jonathan Sutherland. These moves are part of the ongoing process to evaluate talent and ensure the team has the best possible lineup going into the regular season.

Recap of Earlier Cuts.

Yesterday, the Giants began trimming their roster by releasing ten players. The first group included notable names such as running backs Joshua Kelley and Lorenzo Lingard, wide receivers John Jiles and Ayir Asante, and several others across different positions. Head Coach Brian Daboll and his staff continue to make tough decisions as they shape the team’s final roster.

What’s Next for the Giants?

As the final cuts approach, the Giants will keep assessing their players’ performances in practices and preseason games. Each move is crucial, with only a few more cuts needed before the 53-man roster is set. Fans should stay tuned for the final decisions as the regular season opener draws closer.

About Us.

BleedBigBlue.com burst onto the scene after a fiery social media rant about PSL’s and ticket prices went viral. Head Coach Brian Daboll announced the first wave of cuts, releasing ten players. This is a necessary step as the team works to get down to the 53-man roster limit.

No Surprises in the First Wave of cuts.

There were no surprises in this first round of cuts. The players released include:

RB Joshua Kelley

RB Lorenzo Lingard

WR John Jiles

WR Ayir Asante

OL Marcus McKethan

DL Kyler Baugh

LB Trey Kiser

CB Breon Borders

CB Christian Holmes

S Clayton Isbell

Each of these players gave their best effort, but the competition is fierce, and only the best will make the final roster. While these players are no longer with the team, they each played a role in making training camp competitive and challenging.

More Cuts Are Coming

This first round of cuts is just the beginning.
