My Take

I really like this hire.

We’ve talked a lot about John Harbaugh bringing over coaches he already knows and trusts, and Chris Horton fits that mold perfectly. If you’re trying to build a new culture, having assistants who understand your expectations makes a lot of sense.

I also think special teams are often overlooked by fans until something goes wrong. Great special teams can flip field position, create momentum, and even win games. Those hidden yards add up over the course of a season.

The Giants continue to add experienced coaches with proven track records as John Harbaugh reshapes the organization.

Chris Horton may not be the biggest name on the staff, but his experience, leadership, and special teams expertise could make him one of the most valuable additions of the offseason.
