Yes, it’s well known that Josh Gordon is my dark horse wide receiver to be added during free agency. Only two hurdles to clear. He’s still under suspension, and he’s still under contract with the Browns.

Josh Gordon’s business manager, Michael Johnson, told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

“Josh is living with me and is in the best place mentally that he has been in dating back years before entering the NFL. He has taken the proper steps to treat his issues and has followed a very strict protocol that the league and our team here has laid out for him. He’s also in the best shape of his life and feels even better than he did when he had his breakout year in 2013. This will be a special year for Josh and we are all very proud of the way he has taken the necessary steps to turn his life around.”

We sit and wait, waiting patiently for any word on suspended Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon.

Gordon, who is suspended for substance-abuse and off the field issues applied for reinstatement with the NFL offices in January. 
The NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell spoke earlier this week about Gordon.

“When I get more information (from the staff) we can decide what the next appropriate step is, whether it’s me meeting with him or whether they’ve already met with him individually or whether others have met with him, a lot of these (meetings) are also with other people outside our staff, who might be medical professionals.”

Rumors have Josh Gordon wanting out of Cleveland and he favors the New York Giants as a landing destination, according to his tweeting history.

New Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson when asked about Gordon’s return stated.

“I think it’s premature for me to talk about that because he hasn’t been reinstated.” 

Under Jackson’s watch the Browns released Johhny Manziel due to his off season distractions, will they do the same to Josh Gordon? 

Will the Giants take a gamble, low risk high reward style? For this to happen Gordon must be reinstated by the NFL, then cut or traded. I’m not saying this will happen, just need your eyes and ears open.

Last month Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon apply to be reinstated from the NFL.

Gordon who is residing in California has kept quiet and has stayed away from off the field influences which caused him his suspension.

A ruling by the NFL commissioner should be coming shortly, it is not known yet if he will lift the suspension placed on Gordon.

“The process is we will go back and look at how he’s conducted himself over the last several months, what he’s done to make sure it’s consistent with the terms of his suspension, and at some stage we’ll have a report on that, and I will engage with our people to understand where he is, where he’s been, but most importantly, where he’s going,” Goodell said. “When these things happen, it’s about trying to avoid them in the future. Our No. 1 issue here is to prevent these things from happening.

“I’m hopeful that Josh understands that he’s going to have to conduct himself differently going forward to be a member of the NFL and to be representing the Cleveland Browns — or any team in the NFL. So, our job is to try to get people to understand that, try to make sure that they live by the policies that we have, and ensure that this is what all of us want and also what the fans want. Our fans want everybody playing by the same rules.”

A quick look at Gordon’s Twitter history shows multiple “likes” linking him to the New York Giants. Don’t get too excited because he also has a few likes regarding the Patriots.  @JOSH_GORDONXII’s Likes on Twitter

While this may be suggestive, it’s only Twitter. If reinstated by the NFL the Browns will still have Gordon under contract until 2017.
