The New York Giants have named Lawrence Tynes as the 91st player on their prestigious Top 100 Players list.

A Legacy of Clutch Performances.

Lawrence Tynes is best remembered for his game-winning kicks in two NFC Championship Games, both of which propelled the Giants to Super Bowl victories. In 2007, Tynes nailed a 47-yard field goal in overtime at Lambeau Field, clinching a 23-20 victory over the Green Bay Packers in freezing temperatures. Four years later, he repeated his heroics with a 31-yard overtime kick against the San Francisco 49ers, once again sending the Giants to the Super Bowl.

Postseason heroics define Tynes’ legacy, but they were far from his only contributions. Born in Scotland, where his father was a U.S. Navy officer at the time, Tynes climbed to second on the franchise’s all-time scoring list with 586 points on 122 field goals made.
