The Miramar Police Department in Florida issued a warrant for the arrest of New York Giants CB DeAndre Baker, and Seattle Seahawks DB Quinton Dunbar on Thursday night. Baker is wanted for four counts of armed robbery with a firearm and four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm for an incident that took place Wednesday, May 13th, 2020. Dunbar is wanted for four counts of armed robbery with a firearm. The New York Giants issued a statement saying they are aware of the situation and are in touch with Baker.

A warrant to arrest has been issued for Deandre Baker, of the Giants (four counts of Armed Robbery with a Firearm and four counts of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm.) Quinton Dunbar of the Seahawks also has a warrant to arrest for four counts of Armed Robbery with a Firearm. Charges stem from an incident that occurred on May 13, 2020 in Miramar.

Odell Beckham Jr Statement was released on Giants.com yesterday. He talks about his actions in a game against the Panthers last Sunday.

I owe some people an apology. I wasn’t raised to act like I did the other day. I am not here to make excuses for my conduct. This isn’t about anything that was said or done to me. This is about my behavior, and I am responsible for my behavior. People expect better from me, and I expect better from myself.

First of all, I apologize to the organization I represent, the Giants, and our ownership, John Mara and his family and Steve Tisch and his family. And Jerry Reese, who drafted me and gave me the opportunity to be a part of this organization.

I want to apologize to Giants fans. They want to be proud of us, and proud of players like me who represent their team. What happened the other day was embarrassing to them and embarrassing to me.

A lot of kids look up to me as a role model. That is a responsibility I accept and take seriously. Many of the parents of those kids have asked since Sunday what they should say to their children about my conduct. I don’t have the perfect answer, but I think one thing they can say is how I handled myself the other day is an example of how not to conduct yourself. I displayed poor sportsmanship.  And those parents can also say that when you act like that, there are consequences. And I hope to be an example of somebody who did something wrong and learned from it.

I owe Coach Coughlin, our coaches and my teammates an apology. They have had to answer for my actions, and that’s not fair to them. How I conduct myself is my responsibility. I let my coaches and teammates down.

I am blessed and privileged to play the game I love, and I will do all I can to carry myself in a way that honors the game, the NFL, my team, my coaches, all my fans and my family moving forward.

The NFL Competition Committee and owners both agreed on rule changes to the extra point & two point conversion on Tuesday during thier spring meetings in San Francisco. The proposal was passed in a landslide 30-2 vote. Only Oakland and Washington voted against the measures according to NFL Insider Mike Garafolo. 

Going forward the extra point will now be placed at the 15 yard line. Kickers over the past 5 years have produced amazing results scoring on 99% of extra point attempts. 

Placing the ball at the 15 yard line is for the extra point is estimated to decrease the accuracy of the attempt to 93% (equivalent of a 33 yard field goal).

You want to add excitement with every play. NFL Commissioner Rodger Goodell was quoted saying.

The two point conversion will now become a live play. The defending team has a shot to score 2 points if they force a turnover with a return.
