Will the Giants make the Isaiah Wilson signing official today? Rumors have the former 1st round draft pick as the latest addition to the practice squad.

The Giants plan to sign Wilson to their practice squad after the former University of Georgia standout offensive lineman was part of their free agent workout Tuesday, two individuals with knowledge of the situation told NorthJersey.com and USA TODAY Network.

The individuals were granted anonymity due to the sensitivity of the situation and they are not authorized to speak publicly prior to the Giants’ officially announcing the deal.

The Giants have lost 2 starters to season ending injuries, any additional help would be beneficial, but this seems to be a low risk, high reward type of deal for the tackle.

The Titans selected Wilson with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, but a myriad of issues — two stints on the reserve/COVID-19 list, a team suspension, and off-field concerns — marred his rookie campaign. Wilson famously played just three offensive snaps in one appearance with the Titans.

Starting LG Shane Lemiuex (knee) was placed on injured reserve Thursday. Be surprised if we saw him again this season.

Interesting. Per @KimJonesSports, the #Giants are shifting around their O-line. Newly acquired OL Billy Price will start at center tonight vs. WFT.

We’ve mentioned on the prior podcast that Shane Lemiuex was going to try and gut it out, and that was not a good sign, especially given the lack of depth at the O-Line.
