The New York Giants interviewed Steve Wilks earlier today for their vacant defensive coordinator position.

Wilks interviewed Sunday to be the Giants’ defensive coordinator, joining a candidates list that is rich in experience. He spent last season as the defensive coordinator at Missouri, marking his first time working in college football since 2005 and his fourth job in the last five seasons.

Wilks spent this past season with Missouri, but is a longtime NFL coach with multiple franchise including one year as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals.

Thinking it over, it looks like Steve Wilks will become the next Head Coach for The New York Giants. Things may change, but thats my gut feeling at the moment.

Giants chairman Steve Tisch will sit on on today’s interview with Steve Wilks, sources say. It’s his first. Doesn’t necessarily mean Wilks is the favorite. But unlike other candidates, Wilks has a shot to wow all key parties today.

My understanding is nobody has completely blown away the Giants yet. It’s Steve Wilks’ chance now.
