I know the Giants are on a losing streak but this will end this week against the hated Dallas Cowboys which will make it that much sweeter. Once again we reached out to Cowboysblog.net to help us break down two bitter rivals. You can find them on twitter @Cowboysblognet. Now to the breakdown.

The Giants will have a balance offense

Eli almost always plays well against Dallas. In week 7 that was the case as well when he had 3 touchdown passes. Now he did have a rough game this past week but he always bounces back. This time he will have Rashad Jennings, (which they did not have the last time against Dallas) he will help provide a more balanced attack while also proving better pass protection. Geoff Schwartz will be playing in his first game as well which should help the offensive line against a team that does not have many sacks. Eli with protection is dangerous and this is a defense that made Colt McCoy look like a pro bowler a few weeks back. Larry Donnell fumbled twice the last time these teams played which was a big reason Dallas won the game. Giants with a balance attack can control the ball longer, which keeps the Dallas offense off the field. The Giants have shown they can move the ball and score against Dallas. This week at home if they do not turn the ball over they will prove that capability again.

Balanced offensive attack with no turnovers= Giants victory

ODB the sequel: Odell Beckham is a legit number 1 WR.

Unless you are blind the one bright spot in this losing streak has been seeing what the Giants have in this young rookie WR. He has made people take notice around the league and I don’t see this momentum stopping. ODB had 2 touchdown catches in the last game in Dallas and that was with barely any practice/ game experience. Now I would think he is in better game shape along with being better mentally to take on the challenge the NFL brings. This is the first team that he will face twice, now we will see what he learned. Dallas does not have a shutdown corner to match up with Odell. (Richard Sherman learned that Odell is not scared of a good corner) Odell and Eli are just starting to get chemistry/ trust between one another so if you think he has been good so far just watch it get better. ODB will have a big night.

Odell Beckham have a big receiving night = Giants victory

Tony Romo will make a mistake.

Now stop me if you have seen this before. Dallas starting out hot then eventually showing that they aren’t as good as everyone thought. (It’s ok to overachieve but the real team shows over a full season) Just like Dallas, Tony shows when it becomes crunch time then he is prone for mistakes. I do believe Tony Romo is a good QB but everyone who has watched him play knows that at the worst possible moments that is when he turns the ball over. Tony Romo is a threat but when he is playing with a bad back that he injured again a few weeks ago, he is not the same player. If the Giants plan on winning they have to get to Romo so he is worrying about his back more than whom he should pass to. JPP got to Romo twice the last time they played and with Robert Ayers playing the way he has recently then it is possible the Giants will get to Romo or at least force him to make a mistake.

Tony Romo being mistake prone = Giants victory

Breakdown of Dallas.

29 vs 32

The formula that helped Dallas in the first meeting will be a big piece of the formula Sunday night and that is DeMarco Murray running on the Giants defense.

The Giants defense is dead last, #32 in the NFL in rush defense and they are not getting any help with Cullen Jenkins being out. Murray rushed for 128 last game and is poised to duplicate that performance.

Fresh legs on defense

The Cowboys have gone full tilt since training camp, and the bye week has helped get everyone healthy. That means we’ll see hard hitting Rolando McClain and Tyrone Crawford back from injuries. Crawford had a nice game against the Giants last time and he’ll collapse the pocket along with Henry Melton from the middle.

Rookie DeMarcus Lawrence has been playing solid and look for the Cowboys to bring pressure packages when Lawrence and Melton are on the field at the same time.

Romomentum

Romo is still nursing his traverse process injury in his back and it’ll be something he deals with the rest of the season, but with a clean game against the Jags and the bye week, look for Romo to have his mobility back. I like the match ups the Giants will give us in the secondary.

Prince is out and he had a nice game against Dez last time. This time around, Dez could make them pay big. Either way, they may need to double team Dez which will open up the passing game for Terrance Williams and Gavin Escobar could have another breakout game against that banged up secondary.

If the Giants cannot pressure Romo, then they’ll have a long day trying to stop Romo along with the running game. All of these reasons aside, this is a divisional game and it’ll be a battle, the records are irrelevant when they match up. Should be a good game.

The post State Your Case Giants Vs Cowboys first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

 		 		 		<post-id xmlns="com-wordpress:feed-additions:1">3382</post-id>

Party Crashers Giants Must Bring Fight To Dallas

James Doino

New York Giants Game Preview

Cowboys

David Wilson

Tony Romo

Party Crashers, Giants Must Bring Fight To Dallas “Talkie, talkie, talkie….no more…

The post Party Crashers Giants Must Bring Fight To Dallas first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

Party Crashers, Giants Must Bring Fight To Dallas

“Talkie, talkie, talkie….no more talkie” Billy Madison

Good morning Giants fans. Here we go. No more preseason. No more talk. No more waiting. Its time to play, for real.

Another opening night. Another battle with the Boys from Big D. Another night of TV cameras finding Jerry Jones and that pretentious look on his face when Romo is flat on his back or when he has just thrown another 4th quarter interception.

I read something Friday that put a GIANT sized smile on my face, get this.

“The Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager said Friday morning that NBA superstars LeBron James and Chris Paul and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will all be in attendance when the Cowboys host the New York Giants to open their season.” JON MACHOTA – FOX SPORTS WEST.

Perfect!! Throw a party Jerry. Invite them all.

Invite Lebron James, the greatest NBA player in the world and talk about him playing Tight End for the Cowboys in whatever imaginary world your head dwells in.

Invite Chris Paul, the best point guard in the NBA and get all the information you can out of him about his State Farm Insurance “Born to Assist” campaign, and take out a life insurance policy on Romo before kick-off.

Invite the Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, who is leading the screams of “JERSEY STRONG” to the people of his state as they continue to recover from the tragic events of Hurricane Sandy, only to fly to Dallas and to cheer against the best team he has playing in his state. Governor Christie should change his name to Governor Disgracia.

Order all the food Jerry. Put the champagne on ice. Gloat about your team and the stadium. Do whatever you need to do to assure the cameras will be on your face throughout the entire game. As Giants fans, we love this. Any chance to see that look on your face when things go wrong Jerry makes us sleep like babies.

You know why Jerry does this? Think about it. He makes spectacles when he assumes a victory is all in but in the bag. Jerry has a tendency to get ahead of himself, to put the cart before the horse so to speak. How bad do you think Jerry wants this game? Four games against the Giants in their new stadium. Four losses and an Eli Manning autograph in the visiting locker room to show for it. Jerry thinks he has this one. That the time on our winning streak in Dallas has run out. That Monte Kiffen running his defense and Romo taking more of a leadership role on offense has given Jerry the right to make this a Cowboys coming out party. Jerry thinks they will blow us out and the cameras will catch him laughing it up all night with his guests. Be careful Jerry, cause sometimes when you throw a party you don’t expect the forecast to call for rain

And tonight, because you always make yourself bigger than your team and the game they are playing in, there is a BIG BLUE storm coming your way. Call it cloudy with a chance of JPP.

DING-DONG. WHO IS IT? It’s the Party Crashers.

Are the Giants banged up Jerry? Yep! Are there huge question marks surrounding our boys in BLUE this year Jerry? Yep! Do you wanna do karate in the garage Jerry? … Sorry, went all Step Brothers on ya there…

Here’s the thing, everyone wants to talk about Romo and Dez Bryant. Miles Austin and Jason Witten. Demarco Murray and Demarcus Ware.

Well we have players too Jerry, Eli and Cruz. Nicks and Randle. Wilson and JPP. (who I think will play)

Each team has a tremendous amount of talent at the skill positions. Can’t take that away from either of them, but this is Giants vs. Cowboys and these games usually come down to who is more physical and who is more motivated. And I think our Giants are ready for this fight. Why? Because no one thinks they are and Jerry throwing a party and putting his Cowboys boots in his mouth usually gets the Gmen going.

When I think about Jerry’s GIANTS envy three times specifically come to mind.

1. Remember when he invited all the Cowboys fans to the new stadium to kick the Giants “asses”? How’d that turn out?
2. Printing the NFC championship game tickets in 2007 before divisional round against the GIANTS was even kicked off? How’d that go Jerry?
3. Taking the attention away from Phil Simms the night his number was retired and walking onto the field during the ceremony with NIKE head Phil Knight. Stay classy Jerry.

And now this…a party at the House that Choking built for opening night. You would think after all the big losses and collapses over the years, after all the hype surrounding this Cowboys team every year that the owner/general manager would set the tone and learn his lesson. You would think Jerry would let his team do the playing and talking on the field, but honestly, don’t we all know better by now? He can’t help it and that’s why the Big Blue Bullies will show up looking to turn the party into a funeral.

The Cowboys will be without Anthony Spencer and Jay Ratliff. Two huge losses on that defensive line. DE George Selvie and DT Nick Hayden will start. Wait, who? …Exactly. Beat them up for 4 quarters. Run right at them all night long.

The Cowboys offensive line has just as many questions mark as we do.
Blitz them for 4 quarters. Send defenders early and often with the intention of punishing Romo.

It’s time to get that Big Blue Swagger back and that comes with running the football and maiming the QB.

They will try to run Demarco Murray. We will counter with a quality rotation of defensive linemen. Jenkins, Joseph, Rodgers, Hankins and Patterson.

They will try to light up the Dallas sky through the air with Romo, Bryant, Austin and Witten. We will pummel Romo with JPP, Tuck, Kiwi and Moore.

They will employ a new Tampa 2 Defense under Monte Kiffen with lineman stunting left and right. David Wilson will shred it.

They will drop those safeties back in that Tampa 2 scheme to prevent any long TD’s that can lead to excessive Salsa dancing and Eli will dissect it to Cruz and Nicks and Randle. Expect some Brandon Myers in the wide open middle of the defense as well.

So many questions will begin to be answered tonight.

How bad does the loss of Stevie Brown hurt us? How will the linebackers play? Can Pugh be effective at the right tackle spot? Is Hakeem Nicks back to being Hakeem Nicks? Can Justin Tuck be Justin Tuck again? What does Terrell Thomas have left? Is Prince Amukamara ready to be King of the secondary? And my favorite Giants question heading into tonight…

Can David Wilson carry a full load with no Andre Brown? Check out Wilson’s answer to Kim Jones and Carl Banks during an interview on WFAN NY and let us hope the whole team shares his philosophy, “I’m a competitor, so I don’t go in looking for a way out.”

This Sunday in Dallas, there is no way out. Cue the Rocky 4 music.

No easy way out, no short cuts home.

60 minutes. Next man up. All in.

There is a party tonight in Dallas, someone should let Jerry Jones know that the party crashers have stolen an invitation and are coming to ruin the festivities. Remember, there have been 4 parties in Dallas before, and so far, these Big Blue party crashers are the only ones who have left this stadium with a smile on their faces and their party hats on.

GAME TIME JERRY… ARE YOU READY FOR A FIGHT???

PS — Win or lose tonight, this is a long season. Don’t get to high, don’t get to low. GIANTS fans are smart enough to know this, unlike Cowboys fans who after one win start screaming about a Super Bowl.

Enjoy tonight for what it is. The start of another season of the game we all love. Put your jerseys on, your lucky hats and sweats. Sit in that “special” chair we all have. Have your family and friends around you, I know I’m gonna have a hard time putting my daughter to bed for school tomorrow, she knows who plays tonight….school or Giants?? Well, she can watch the first half with Dad and go to school without a voice tomorrow.

Remember one thing, just like our Hall of Fame coach Bill Parcells said along time ago, “this is a marathon, not a sprint.”

17 weeks… 16 games… 4 teams…one division title.

Let our drive for ring number 5 commence.

The post Party Crashers Giants Must Bring Fight To Dallas first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

 		 		 		<post-id xmlns="com-wordpress:feed-additions:1">795</post-id>

Lowest Expectations For The Cowboys

Guest Blogger

Guest Writers

Cowboys

Tony Romo

In all my years being a Cowboy fan, I have to say…

The post Lowest Expectations For The Cowboys first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

In all my years being a Cowboy fan, I have to say that this year I have the lowest expectations out of any of them. They made no sexy off-season acquisitions. They had arguably the worst draft in the history of drafts. So when I was asked to write this post about how the Giants and Cowboys match up at the start of camp, I didn’t have many nice things to say about Dallas. My negativity about the team has since eased as the pre-season has come to a close.
Dallas has revamped both their offense and their defense. They will be going back to the 4-3. Their biggest problems over the past few seasons, especially against the Giants, is that they’d either get into a huge hole quickly, causing Tony Romo to have to throw the ball 40 times, just to get back into it. Otherwise they’d give away huge leads, once again leaning on Romo to try and bail them out. Both of these scenarios have unfairly placed pressure on Romo, leaving him to take the heat more often then not. I think their defense under Monty Kiffin will be steady, balanced and keep them in games. The Cowboys have had trouble forcing turnovers, especially last year.

CHI like hunt recommend buy viagra without prescription lucky Everything for products viagra prescription online but I side effects viagra Repairs, when moisture loss… Them cialis dosage Far: into product and free cialis online visiting find ultimate awesome https://www.creativetours-morocco.com/fers/viagra-online-sales.html great stationed many realistically swipe: cheap drugs online cover proven NOT “store” and feet I and cialis cheap online pharmacy to this is viagra coupon the, had acne… On would. Eli isn’t going to be able to just sit back and pick apart Dallas’ soft coverage as well as he has in the last few seasons.
The play calling has been taken away from Jason Garrett, and this is for the better. Now he can focus on improving his game management, which frankly he sucks at. Whether it’s leaving a team too much time to come back, or icing his own kicker, we’ve seen the Giants benefit from Garrett’s shortcomings quite a bit. Bill Callahan has been brought in to call the plays. With him comes a high tempo West Coast offense. I like this because it relies on quicker routes, and will compensate for the lack of talent in the offensive line. Romo will not have to run around for his life nearly as often, with a lot of 3 and 5 step drops and quick releases. It’ll probably lead to fewer mistakes from him. It also incorporates the RB into the passing game. The Giants pass rush has killed the Cowboys since 2007. The West Coast scheme can help neutralize what is essentially the Giants strength on defense.
As far as the games are concerned, I think the Giants and Cowboys split this season. I believe the Giants will finally fall in Jerry World. Both teams have questions about health and depth coming into Week 1. The Cowboys D-line is quite banged up. However the Giants have questions on both sides of the ball, including JPP and Victor Cruz. You don’t want to put too much stock into pre-season, but the Giants weren’t able to do much on either side of the ball this August, and looks like a team that may start slow out of the gate. Frankly, I just think the Cowboys aren’t going to allow the Giants to walk into their home and beat them again. They have a chip on their shoulder coming into this game. Week 1… Cowboys 31 – Giants 21. It’s obviously too early to say, but I’ll give Week 12 to the Giants. By then, JPP should be back to full strength; Andre Brown may be back, as well as some other players that will be out or questionable for the Week 1 match-up. I think the Giants will protect their home field in a game that has potential to be cold weather, a condition the Cowboys have fared well in recently. Week 12… Giants 24 – Cowboys 21.

Guest Post written by @ItGetsByBuckner

The post Lowest Expectations For The Cowboys first appeared on Bleedbigblue.com.

 		 		 		<post-id xmlns="com-wordpress:feed-additions:1">766</post-id>
