The New York Giants sign LB Bobby Okereke to a 4-year, $40 million deal.

The New York Giants are set to sign free agent linebacker Bobby Okereke to a four-year, $40 million contract, including $22 million guaranteed, according to sources speaking to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan and Adam Schefter on Monday night.

In 2022, Okereke, 26, excelled in the Indianapolis Colts’ recording a career-high 151 tackles, with 99 being solo stops.

This is expected to be one of the Giants’ most significant free agent signings this offseason. The G-Men urgently needed a veteran middle linebacker, and Okereke was among the top available inside linebackers.

Okereke excelled in both run and pass coverage for Indianapolis. He has also shown versatility, playing both linebacker positions during his time with the Colts.

A 2019 third-round pick from Stanford, Okereke has started 49 games for the Colts. He has been durable, missing only two games in his four seasons.
