CB Tre Hawkins Impresses in Preseason Opener vs. the Lions: A Cornerback to Watch.

The first preseason game is in the books, and while it’s essential not to get too carried away, there’s plenty to be excited about. One player, in particular, stood out: second year Cornerback Tre Hawkins.

A Strong Preseason Start

Hawkins delivered a performance worth noting against the Detroit Lions, earning an impressive 90.0 PFF grade. His lockdown coverage was evident throughout the game, making it clear that he’s a name to watch as the Giants search for another starting cornerback.

While it’s still early in the process, and we all know the preseason is just a stepping stone, Hawkins’ display shows he’s more than capable of rising to the challenge. The Giants’ secondary could benefit significantly if he continues on this path.

Stay tuned, Giants fans. This is just the beginning, and we’re here for every step of the journey!
