Giants Hire Martin Mayhew As Director Of Football Operations.

The New York Giants have announced the hiring of former Detroit Lions GM, Martin Mayhew. Mayhew will serve as the Director of Football Operations for the Giants. Mayhew had spent the last 15 season with the Lions, and the past 8 as their General Manager.

Mayhew will take the place of Matt Hariss, the former Giants Director of Football Operations. Hariss was recently hired by the Detroit Lions to serve as their Vice President of Football Administration. So in theory, the Giants swapped their Director of Football Operations with the Lions Director of Football Operations. As this follows the cuts of Jon Beason, Geoff Schwartz, and Will Beatty, the Giants have shown they are rebuilding immediately from last season. Expect more changes to come as this is just the beginning of what should be a total rebuild for the Giants.

Some may laugh or find it kind of crazy, but I live and breathe for the New York Giants. A rising Junior residing in Northern New Jersey and Giants season ticket holder. I am serious, and opinionated with my writings, however, you will often find a hint of comedy throughout them.
