Giants Running Back To Have Season Ending Surgery

Shane Vereen will have season ending surgery.

The Giants announced today that running back Shane Vereen will have season ending surgery.  Vereen injured his tricep yesterday during the heated contest with Washington.

Lead running back Rashad Jennings remains injured ( thumb) but is expected to return shortly.

Running backs Orleans Darkwa and Rookie Paul Perkins are expected to get increased workloads in the absence of Vereen.
