In 1981, Badgro was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, becoming the oldest player ever enshrined in Canton. Teammate and Hall of Famer Mel Hein praised Badgro’s ability, calling him a “strong 60-minute football player” and “a deadly tackler.” Hein also recalled Benny Friedman, a legendary passer, stating that Badgro was his best target, known for his speed, sure hands, and ability to make tough catches.
