Ron Johnson Don Chandler Named 72nd On Giants Top 100 Players List.

The New York Giants recently released their list of the top 100 players in franchise history. Coming in at number 72 is legendary running back Ron Johnson. Johnson made his mark in the NFL and with the Giants, becoming one of the most productive backs during his time.

Johnson’s Historic Giants Career.

Ron Johnson joined the Giants in 1970 as part of a notable trade with the Cleveland Browns. This deal brought Johnson, along with two other players, to New York in exchange for Homer Jones. Johnson quickly became a key player, making Pro Bowl appearances in 1970 and 1972.

Pro Bowl Seasons and Career Achievements.

In his six seasons with the Giants, Johnson accumulated 3,836 rushing yards, ranking him eighth on the franchise’s all-time list. He also recorded 33 rushing touchdowns, placing him among the top 10 in franchise history. Additionally, Johnson caught 189 passes for 1,813 yards, further proving his versatility on the field.
