Giants Playoff Run Ends With A Loss To Philly
The New York Giants’ season came to an crashing halt last night with a heavy sided 38-7 defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles, the top seed, in the Divisional Round of the 2023 NFC playoffs, ending their first playoff series is since 2016.
The New York Giants’ dreams of another Super Bowl run were crushed as they were outplayed by the Philadelphia Eagles one week after they had raised hopes by defeating the Minnesota Vikings 31-24 in the Wild-Card round.
The Philadelphia Eagles swiftly established their dominance, making it clear that the Giants would not be able to achieve an upset victory at Lincoln Financial Field. They scored two touchdowns in their first two possessions and took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. They continued to dominate by adding two more touchdowns in the second quarter, going into the halftime break with a 28-0 lead.
The Eagles have had the Giants number as of late extended their winning streak to 10 games when they are taking place in Philadelphia.
Head Coach Brian Daboll’s first year as head coach of the team was memorable, despite the team’s loss in Philadelphia. Even though Daboll and his players exceeded expectations, the defeat still causes pain for Daboll, and fellow Giants fans. Coach Daboll added. “I wish we could’ve done a better job, wish I could’ve done a better job. I feel like crap. It’s an honest as you can be.”
