Giants Restructure Logan Ryan’s Contract

by Marco Ceo

The New York Giants Restructure Logan Ryan’s Contract adding additional cap space heading into the season.

Details of the restructure as per Ian Rapoport.

The #Giants converted most of the base salary of DB Logan Ryan into a signing bonus, creating more cap space heading into the season, source said. Ryan, recently voted a captain, spreads the signing bonus over the remaining years of his contract for cap purposes.

New York Post’s Ryan Dunleavy adds that this restructure should put the Giants near $10 million in cap space going into 2021.

Giants had $3.6M in salary cap space as of this weekend, per NFLPA records. This should get them close to the $10M in space that GM Dave Gettleman likes headed into a season. Also, it gives Ryan more job security later in contract by increasing cap hits as he gets older

Final details of the move are not yet the disclosed, but once we get them I’ll update the final numbers.
