Giants Make Roster Moves After Rookie Minicamp
The New York Giants didn’t waste any time making moves following their rookie minicamp. The team signed cornerback T.J. Moore, who was invited to camp on a tryout basis. Moore, who stands 6 feet tall and weighs 187 pounds, made a strong impression and earned himself a roster spot.
Moore comes from Mercer University, where he built an impressive college career. He became only the second player in school history to be named a unanimous All-American. Even more notable, he was the runner-up for the Buck Buchanan Award, which honors the top defensive player in FCS Division I football. His ball skills and work ethic stood out at minicamp, and now he’ll have a chance to show what he can do at the next level.
Lil’Jordan Humphrey Returns to the Roster
In another move, the Giants re-signed wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey just three days after releasing him. The 6-foot-4 wideout has NFL experience and adds size to the Giants’ receiving corps. His quick return suggests that the team sees value in keeping him around for the offseason program and possibly beyond.
Rookie Class Joins Offseason Workout Program
With rookie minicamp now in the rearview mirror, the Giants are entering Phase 2 of their offseason workout program. This phase includes both rookies and veterans working together at the team facility. It’s an important time for young players to continue building chemistry and earning the trust of coaches and teammates.
The next few weeks will be key as competition heats up heading into training camp.
