With 13 representatives in attendance, including general manager Joe Schoen, head coach Brian Daboll, and several coordinators, it’s clear the Giants wanted a thorough look at quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way star Travis Hunter.
The event, broadcast live by NFL Network, gave teams a chance to evaluate two of college football’s most exciting prospects. For the Giants, it was another opportunity to assess their options with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Shedeur Sanders Shows Deep Ball Accuracy.
Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, put together a polished performance. According to insider Jordan Schultz, one top-level executive in attendance was impressed:
“I just think he throws a really catchable ball. Accuracy is one thing, but catch-ability is another. Shedeur’s got both. And watching him live today, there was more power — more velocity — than I expected.”
The executive added:
“He’s definitely a pocket guy, but athletic enough to buy time and make plays. His offensive line was always an issue in college, but turnovers never were.”
The Giants have met with Sanders multiple times this offseason and didn’t schedule a private workout after Pro Day. That could mean they’ve seen what they need to see.
Travis Hunter Proves He’s More Than a Corner.
Travis Hunter wasn’t just running drills—he was making a statement. Widely viewed as a shutdown corner, Hunter reminded scouts he can shine on offense, too. His route running and agility impressed enough to reopen the debate: receiver or defender first?
He remains a projected Top 5 pick, and teams like the Giants now have more to consider. With Schoen recently saying the team could go “in any direction” with their top pick, Hunter’s versatility only adds to the complexity.
One thing’s clear: Colorado’s Pro Day made the Giants’ draft decisions even tougher.
