Giants Fans Sound Off on Draft Day Dreams and Dilemmas.
Yesterday, I hosted another great Q&A session across both Instagram and Facebook, and the responses were incredible. Two names dominated the discussion: Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter. Let’s break down the most frequently asked questions and some standout comments.
Why Abdul Carter Makes Sense.
Many of you wanted to know: Who’s better, Carter or Hunter? The truth is, I like both. But Abdul Carter could be a game-changer for our defense. You can never have too many pass rushers—especially after years of watching “bend but don’t break” defenses.
“With Carter, even Kayvon will look good… You can’t block Sexy, Carter, Burns, and Kayvon. You put the QB on his back, force interceptions, get field position, and score points.”
– Jimmy on Facebook
Imagine that front—offensive lines won’t stand a chance.
The Case for Travis Hunter.
Now let’s talk Travis Hunter. His talent is off the charts, and the fact that he wants to play both wide receiver and cornerback at the NFL level is wild. From what I’m hearing, the Giants are open to it.
He’ll likely be a CB first, but imagine him in 3-WR sets. That would be must-watch football.
“Hunter all day. If we have a strong secondary, that makes our current pass rushers even better.”
– Joseph on Facbook
And he’s right—coverage and pressure go hand in hand.
Dart vs. Milroe: Which QB Fits?
Another hot topic: Jaxon Dart vs. Jalen Milroe. Some of you think the Giants would need to trade up for either. Others believe they’re second-round projects.
I personally like Dart just a bit more—big arm, mobile, tough. But if Milroe develops like Lamar Jackson? Watch out.
“The thing is… you can’t trade up for him, then sit him. If you’re gonna give up that capital, he’s gotta be playing Week 1. You’re essentially giving up a chance at 3 players to just get 1 if we trade up, so he better be starter material.”
– Vic on Bleed Big Blue Nation
Hard to argue with that logic. The cost to move up is steep—so the return better be worth it.
Drama During Draft Day.
While I love all the buzz and wild scenarios surrounding draft day, I’m not expecting the New York Giants to pull off some big surprise. It’s fun to speculate about potential trades, but I think the team will mostly stick to their strategy and address their needs in a calculated way. That said, there’s always the possibility of a trade that could completely shake things up. And that potential? Yeah, it’s definitely keeping me on my toes.
