Over the past couple weeks, Darius Slayton has been exceeding expectations to say the least. Last game Slayton caught 2 touchdowns from Daniel Jones. He totaled 50 receiving yards in a loss to Detroit. The 5th round draft pick, has totaled 16 receptions for 263 yards so far this season. With Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram both having injury plagued seasons, the spotlight has given way to the 22 year old rookie receiver.
Are we perhaps witnessing the early days of a new star emerge in the big apple? Not to mention, it’s quite clear that Darius is Daniel Jones favorite target. Since, Jones is going to be the future quarterback for years to come, this connection seems to only be rising each game.
