The New York Giants ended the 2023 season with a 6-11 record, finishing 3rd in the NFC East and 13th in the NFC. It was the second year under the Head Coach/General Manager duo of Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen.
The Giants’ season began with a rough 40-0 loss to the Cowboys, setting the tone for a challenging year. Daniel Jones tore his ACL in Week 9, contributing to a 2-8 start. Wink Martindale’s defense declined from average to fourth-worst, leading to his “resignation”. Injuries plagued the team once again, a recurring issue in recent seasons. Jones struggled after signing a $160 million contract, and Mike Kafka’s offense fell to near the bottom of the league in scoring.
