According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders will hold one last private workout on Thursday in Boulder, Colorado. The New York Giants are sending a group of team officials to attend. With the NFL Draft in Green Bay just a week away, this adds one more wrinkle to an already unpredictable pre-draft process.

Let’s be clear: this visit doesn’t mean Sanders is a lock for the Giants. As The Record’s Art Stapleton reports, the trip to Boulder was planned in advance. It’s also not expected to be the final quarterback workout for the team.
The Giants are simply using the time between the end of the official 30 visits and Draft Night to take a deeper look. They’ve done this before—just last year, they flew out to Ann Arbor for a private session with J.J. McCarthy, even though they had already decided he wouldn’t be the pick at No. 6.
