Support Families at the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Golf Classic.
As someone who has volunteered with the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible impact this organization has on families. Their mission—to support those tackling childhood cancer—is close to my heart. I’m proud to help spread the word about their upcoming 30th annual Celebrity Golf Classic, happening May 18–19, 2025.
Inspired by Jay. Built to Be There.
The Jay Fund began with a promise. In 1992, Coach Tom Coughlin was head football coach at Boston College when one of his players, Jay McGillis, was diagnosed with leukemia. Coughlin stood by Jay and his family through his seven-month fight, witnessing the immense emotional and financial toll.
Jay passed away on July 3, 1992. His spirit, strength, and compassion inspired Coughlin to create a foundation that would “Be There” for other families in the same situation.
The first Celebrity Golf Classic was held in May 1996. It was a huge success and helped the fund expand to support families dealing with all forms of pediatric cancer. In 2014, the event raised more than $515,000 in just one weekend.
Over $32 Million in Support and Still Growing
Now, 30 years later, the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund has provided over $32 million in financial, emotional, and practical support to more than 6,700 families across Northeast Florida and the New York/New Jersey Metropolitan Area. That’s a legacy worth celebrating—and continuing.
This year’s event takes place at the world-famous TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course. Sponsorship opportunities are still available, and they come with the chance to:
- Play on an iconic course
- Mingle with local and national celebrities
- Directly help families facing childhood cancer
Be Part of Something Meaningful
The Jay Fund’s mission is clear: to let families focus on what matters most—their child’s well-being. Your involvement—whether as a sponsor, donor, or advocate—can make a real difference.
Let’s honor Jay’s legacy and keep Coach Coughlin’s promise alive. Join us this May.
