Kerry Collins Named 83rd On The New York Giants Top 100 Players List.

The New York Giants have announced Kerry Collins as the 83rd player on their Top 100 list. Collins, despite playing fewer games than other legendary quarterbacks like Eli Manning and Phil Simms, left a lasting impact on the franchise.

A Record-Setting Career.

Kerry Collins joined the Giants in 1999 as a free agent. He quickly made his mark, setting records that still stand today. He ranks third in completions (1,447), fourth in passing yards (16,875), and sixth in touchdown passes (81).

A Legendary Playoff Performance.

Collins’ performance in the 2000 NFC Championship Game remains iconic. He threw for 381 yards and five touchdowns, leading the Giants to a 41–0 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. This performance still holds as a Giants postseason record.

Collins’ Lasting Legacy.

Though Eli Manning would later surpass many of Collins’ records, his place in Giants history is secure. As coach Jim Fassel said after the 2000 NFC Championship Game, “If anybody has any lingering questions about Kerry Collins, they didn’t watch the game today.”
